As an ADVOCATE: Support the cause…

Every warrior has a next mission. We know that the transition to civilian life is a journey. And for every warrior, family member, and caregiver, that journey looks different.

We are here for their first step, and each step that follows. Because we believe that every warrior should have a positive future to look forward to. There’s always another goal to achieve, another mission to discover. We are their partner in that mission.

Veterans and service members who incurred a physical or mental injury, illness, or wound while serving in the military on or after September 11, 2001. You are our focus. You are our mission.

Here, you’re not a member – you’re an alumnus, a valued part of a community that’s been where you’ve been, and understands what you need. Everything we offer is free because there’s no dollar value to finding recovery and no limit to what you can achieve.

Donations:

Donations at specified amounts are designated or you may customize your gifts. Recurring gifts are encouraged. Memorial and Tribute gifts are welcomed.

  • Employee Giving: Supporting a cause you care about should be easy, so we offer a few ways to give to WWP through your organization. This includes Automatic, pre-tax deductions, Matching gifts, and the Combined Federal Campaign.
  • Corporate Partnership: When you join forces with Wounded Warrior Project, your company will be associated with one of the largest veterans service organizations in the country.
  • Planned Giving: Leave a legacy that honors and empowers wounded warriors. A gift to support wounded warriors as part of your planned giving arrangements is deserving of recognition and thanks. When you include WWP, you become a lifelong member of the Honor & Empower Society. As a member of the Honor & Empower Society, you’ll receive: A CERTIFICATE OF APPRECIATION letting others know of your support of wounded warriors and their families. A PUBLIC RECOGNITION OF YOUR GIFT (only with your permission; you may give anonymously if you prefer). Giving options include:
    • Through your Will: A will expresses your wishes as to how your property is to be distributed after your lifetime. Through a written will, you name one or more persons, usually an executor or personal representative, to manage your estate until its final distribution. This is a very popular way of giving gifts to charity — a gift you can arrange now to create a legacy.
    • Through a Trust: With a trust, your assets are managed so they may extend into and well beyond your living years. You specify through the trust what assets are to be included, who is to manage and decide matters, who will benefit, and when and how long the benefits will be received. There are different types of trusts based on your desires and needs. The benefits of a charitable trust include letting you donate generously to the charities of your choice during and after your lifetime, while also receiving and providing significant tax savings for you and your beneficiaries.
    • Through a Charitable Gift Annuity: Transfer your cash or appreciated property to WWP in exchange for our promise to pay you fixed payments (with rates based on your age) for the rest of your life.
    • Through a Beneficiary Designation: A beneficiary designation allows you to identify who receives ownership of certain assets after your lifetime. Beneficiary designations are common with certain types of assets, such as retirement accounts, bank accounts, life insurance policies, and stock and investment securities.
    • Through an IRA Charitable Rollover: An IRA rollover allows people age 70½ and older to reduce their taxable income by making a gift directly from their IRA.
  • Donor-Advised Fund: A donor-advised fund (DAF) is a philanthropic giving vehicle that provides an immediate tax benefit to you and allows you to grant funds to charities of your choice.
