As an EATERY: Food for thought…
The Walters Café is a perfect spot for an afternoon coffee with friends, or visitors can take advantage of the museum’s free Wi-fi for a working lunch. Enjoy: * salads * sandwiches * wine * beer and * local products. On Thursday nights, when the museum is open late, enjoy a glass of wine or beer before touring the galleries. The Walters Cafe offers a selection of vegan and gluten free options. Allergy information is available onsite for all food items.

When you give to the Walters Art Museum, you support our mission to make art, history, and culture free and accessible to everyone. Every year, more than 160,000 individuals take advantage of free access at the Walters. We rely on the generosity and support of our members, corporate partners, and institutional funders to present outstanding exhibitions and installations, serve 70,000 participants in our education programs, and maintain our historic buildings. This support also allows us to conserve and study our collection, which includes some of the most finely-crafted works of art in the world. No matter the size of your gift, your contribution will make a difference for the Walters and for the entire Baltimore community.
Membership:
Thank you for supporting our work and our staff by renewing or becoming a member today. As a supporter of the Walters Art Museum, you keep the museum vibrant, relevant, and free for all. Our membership program starts with a minimum gift of $60 and consists of three circles of support. As you increase your support, you gain access to more exclusive experiences and receive the benefits of all lower levels. Your membership will now represent your total support of the Walters, including gifts to fundraising events like the Walters Gala & Party. We invite you to explore the events and opportunities available to supporters at each level and choose a gift amount that is most meaningful for you. Gift memberships are encouraged. Membership at specified levels is offered: Advocate * Patron, and * Benefactor.

The Walters Art Museum strives to connect the community with art and provide a place for inspiration, entertainment, and education. both in person and online. Tributary and memorial gifts are welcomed. Make a Gift Today! Your generosity enables the Walters to provide meaningful experiences for art lovers of all ages both in person and online. Your gift ensures that exhibitions, installations, adult and school programs, and art-making activities remain free and accessible to every visitor.
- Donations at specified amounts are designated or you may customize your gifts. Recurring gifts are encouraged. You may donate on behalf of a business, organization, or in memory, honor, or tribute to a special person or occasion.
- Gifts of Stock: When you give to the Walters Art Museum, you support our mission to make art, history, and culture accessible to everyone. No matter the size of your gift, your contribution will make a difference for the Walters and for the entire Baltimore community. There are creative ways to give without ever opening your wallet. Many of our donors recommend gifts through a Donor Advised Fund or Family Foundation. Some donors work for a company that matches gifts to nonprofits. These programs may even include retirees and board members. This is a great way to have your gift matched 1:1, 2:1, or even 3:1.
- Create a Legacy: The legacy you create is unique, and the Walters is grateful to be a part of it. Many of our supporters have included the Walters in their estate plans by naming the Walters as a beneficiary or providing an outright gift to the museum. Some planned gifts entitle you to an immediate income tax deduction; others provide flexibility during your lifetime and can provide benefits to your estate and your heirs. All of them enable you to create a philanthropic legacy. The Walters Legacy Society. The Walters Legacy Society recognizes and honors those friends who have made a commitment to support the Walters Art Museum through their will or other planned gift.

- Friends of Asian Art: Museum supporters with a regard for Asian art can come together around their common interest in the study of this collection area and the enrichment of the Walters’ holdings of Asian and Islamic art. Supporting this collection includes access to several Asian art-specific programs throughout the year. To receive emails about upcoming programs related to Asian and Islamic art, please make a donation to the museum. MAKE A GIFT: To support the acquisition of objects into the Asian and Islamic collection, you can make a contribution of any amount to the Friends of Asian Art Acquisition Fund in addition to your contribution to the operating support of the museum.
- Women’s Committee: Effective June 30, 2021, the Women’s Committee of the Walters Art Museum established the Walters Women’s Committee Legacy Endowment to support the museum’s efforts in perpetuity and ceased operations as an active committee. Funds from the Endowment continue the Women’s Committee’s legacy and longstanding commitment to supporting educational programming and expenses related to special exhibitions at the Walters.
