Experience the Center’s international spirit by hosting your next event at a one-of-a-kind venue. Whether you’re planning a small executive retreat, a multi-day conference, or an elegant evening reception, The Carter Center will provide a memorable experience for you and your guests. Nine distinctive rental spaces are offered:

  • Cecil B. Day Chapel: Cecil B. Day Chapel and the Main Foyer are located in the Ivan Allen Pavilion. The Main Foyer is included with the rental of the Cecil B. Day Chapel, or may be rented separately.
    • Rental includes use of upper and lower foyers, perfect for refreshments, receptions, or breakout sessions.
    • The Green Room, a private room located off the lower foyer, is available for use
    • Exclusive circular drive is conveniently located off the Ivan Allen main foyer, making arrival and departure simple for your guests
    • Raised hardwood stage is off set by a dramatic three-story backdrop of windows overlooking the grounds.
    • Baby grand piano available, upon request
  • Jimmy Carter Library and Museum Lobby: This grand lobby is a popular location for corporate receptions, award ceremonies, and other special events.
    • Available from 6 p.m. to 12 a.m.
    • Conveniently located adjacent to the Kitchen at Copenhill for additional seating space
    • Additional outdoor seating is available under the Library Lobby portico
    • Access to Kitchen at Copenhill, patio, and grounds
  • Cypress Room: Perfect for cocktail receptions, seated meals, and weddings.
    • Features an entire wall of windows overlooking the grounds, offering your guests access to the Cyprus lawn and the Japanese Gardens for viewing
    • Perfect for seated meals, cocktail receptions, seminars, and other corporate or social events
    • Raised stage provides a great location for panels, podium and microphone, head table for wedding receptions, or musicians
    • Translation booths with separate entrance for interpreters
    • Multifeeds plug into house sound; press conference-ready
    • A popular facility for hosting weddings, bar/bat mitzvahs, and holiday and/or corporate events, the Cyprus Room is a handsomely appointed space that can accommodate up to 210 guests banquet-style (without a dance floor) for seated meals and as many as 275 theater-style for meetings, seminars, or press conferences.
    • In addition, the foyer of the Cyprus Room is included with the rental fee and is perfect as a pre-function location, registration site, or bar/buffet setup. Featured in the foyer are notable works by artists such as Andy Warhol, Emile Benes Brzezinski, and Peter Max, providing your guests a unique viewing experience of these one-of-a-kind gifts to President and Mrs. Carter.
  • Kitchen at Copenhill: Perfect for cocktail receptions and seated meals.
    • Available from 6 p.m. to 12 a.m.
    • Conveniently located adjacent to the Jimmy Carter Library, with the option for your guests to tour the museum
    • Perfect for use in conjunction with the Library Lobby for larger events
    • The Kitchen at Copenhill serves as a unique atmosphere for hosting seated dinners of up to 150 or cocktail receptions for up to 250. An added pleasure, is the connected patio area, which overlooks the upper lake, the Carter’s own koi fishpond, and the 37 acres of beautifully maintained grounds.
  • Ivan Allen III Pavilion Main Foyer: Perfect for seated meals, social receptions, exhibits, and more.
    • Features a built-in granite and mahogany reception desk for use as registration site or bar service
    • Atrium windows overlook Atlanta’s downtown skyline
  • Rotunda/Upper Commons:
    • Can accommodate up to 150 guests for receptions, 90 guests theater-style, and up to 70 guests set banquet-style
    • Showcases artifacts, artwork, and gifts given to President and Mrs. Carter
    • Beautiful open space surrounded by stationary columns
  • Lower Commons:
    • Accommodates seated meals for up to 50 guests and receptions for up to 75 guests
    • Additional casual seating areas available for your guests to enjoy
    • Built-in mahogany shelving featuring gifts to President and Mrs. Carter
    • Features wireless Internet access for your guests’ convenience
    • AV equipment available for use
  • Zaban Room: Ideal location for meetings, training sessions, retreats, or presentations for groups of up to 65 people.
    • Features a bank of windows, offering your guests a view of the outdoors
    • Access to patio and grounds
  • Executive Dining Room:
    • Features a bank of windows overlooking the Carter’s koi fishpond
    • Room décor includes original Japanese artwork on the walls of this cozy space
    • Provides an intimate setting for your event
    • Great for small corporate retreats and/or training sessions
    • Often used in conjunction with other spaces at The Carter Center for meals and/or breakout groups
    • Delicate hand-painted scrolls, calligraphy, fine woodblock prints, and a tapestry adorn the walls of this private space. With banquet-style seating for up to 30 guests and conference-style seating for as many as 24 guests, the Executive Dining Room is a perfect location for your more intimate retreats, seminars/training events, meals, and/or breakout groups. In addition to the unique Japanese interior décor, your guests will enjoy a view of the Carter’s own Japanese koi fishpond (feeding of the fish is at 11 a.m.).
