Shelburne Museum has everything an event planner is looking for: a wide range of Vermont-themed venues, dedicated and professional staff, free and ample parking, and proximity to the city of Burlington, with its airport and lodging. Eight distinctive event spaces are offered:
- Pizzagalli Center for Art and Education: Perfect for holiday parties, performances, or corporate retreats! Modern and welcoming with a warm, natural design and breathtaking views onto the Museum campus. Features: Multipurpose auditorium and event space with state-of-the-art A/V system, including free wired and wireless internet, screen projector, DVD and Blu-ray player, iPod/iPad dock, and multi-room sound system; Classroom meeting space with Smart Board and outdoor patio; Expansive veranda with sweeping views of the Museum grounds and gardens; Full Museum admission included in rental fee during regular Museum hours; Fully barrier-free with wheelchair-accessible elevator and multi-stall, handicapped accessible restrooms on upper and lower levels.
- Capacity: Full Building standing – 350 guests; Full Building seated dinner – 120 guests; Auditorium – 130 guests; Classroom – 35 guests; Patio standing – 140 guests; Lawn seated ceremony – 200 guests
- Brick House: Your destination for a dream wedding! This grand historic home provides a beautiful backdrop, with expansive views of Lake Champlain and the Adirondacks beyond. Features: A picture-perfect setting filled with history and natural beauty; Multiple choices for ceremony sites to suit your needs; Access for rehearsal and wedding photography included; Private bridal room available the day of the event exclusively for the bride and limited guests; Private tours of house available for an additional charge.
- Capacity: Garden Patio – Up to 160 guests; Lakeview Lawn – Up to 250 guests (ceremonies only); West Lawn – Up to 250 guests
- Steamboat Ticonderoga: All aboard for a day you won’t forget! The only passenger steamboat of its kind in existence! Dine and celebrate in 1920s style aboard this National Historic Landmark. Features: Ceremonies and receptions on board or outdoors to suit your needs; Use of original deck chairs included on a limited basis; Access for rehearsal and wedding photography included; Full Museum admission included in rental fee during regular Museum hours.
- Capacity: Standing – 200 guests, Seated dinner – 80 guests; Dining Room – 100 guests; Ceremony – 150 guests
- Round Barn: Celebrate in rustic style! A turn-of-the-century historic barn with the elegance of Shaker design. Features: Romantic interior perfect for dancing; Private access to Shelburne Museum’s popular carousel after 5 p.m.; Full Museum admission included in rental fee during regular Museum hours; Access for rehearsal and wedding photography included.
- Capacity: Standing – Up to 220 guests; Seated dinner – Up to 200 guests
- Meeting House: Music and history for your ceremony! An original 1840 church building with trompe l’oeil wall paintings and an operating nineteenth-century organ. Features: Trompe l’oeil wall panel detail; Operating historic organ; Formal flower-lined granite walkway; Full Museum admission included in rental fee during regular Museum open hours; Access for rehearsal and wedding photography included.
- Capacity: Seated at pews – Up to 100 guests; Standing – Additional 50 guests
- Circus Lawn & Carousel: Fun for everyone! Host your outdoor event right outside our captivating Circus Building and give your guests rides on our carousel. Features: Private access to Shelburne Museum’s popular carousel and Circus Building after 5 p.m.; Daylily gardens surrounding the Circus Building will give your special day a burst of summer color; Full Museum admission included in rental fee during regular Museum hours; Access for rehearsal and wedding photography included.
- Capacity: Seated ceremonies or tented receptions – Up to 500 guests
- Garden Ceremonies: Let nature surround you! Say “I do” in our gorgeous, formal Bostwick Garden or choose another from among our twenty gardens—all are perfect for an intimate event. Features: The formal Bostwick Garden offers outdoor seating for as many as eighty guests, or standing room for 120; Bostwick Garden is ideal for outdoor weddings as well as performances, talks, or other ceremonies; The Circus Lawn, with its exuberant Daylily Garden and nearby carousel, can accommodate up to 500; Additional gardens available for events under twenty-five guests; Full Museum admission included in rental fee during regular Museum hours; Access for rehearsal and wedding photography included.
- Capacity: Standing – Up to 120 guests, depending on site; Standing room – up to 500 guests on Circus Lawn, adjacent to Circus Building Daylily Garden
