The Inn at Shaker Village features 72 guest rooms, suites, and private cottages spread throughout 13 historic buildings for you and your guests’ stay.

The Shaker Village of Pleasant Hill has eight distinct venues available for rental:

• West Lot Dwelling is a scenic 1.5 mile drive from The Historic Centre, features a large, sunny reception and meeting room, double parlor, covered porch and enclosed courtyard, plus six en-suite guest rooms. Its lawn and adjoining wildflower meadow are ideal locations for outdoor weddings, receptions, family reunions and other social events.
• 1820 Meeting House is located in the heart of The Historic Centre, accommodates 125 for a seated ceremony or meeting and is within walking distance of several reception venues.
• The Meadow View Barn is a restored, open-air tobacco barn with stunning views of the rolling Shaker Village countryside. It is a flexible event venue, offering an outdoor ceremony site and covered reception or event space for up to 150 people.
• Centre Family Dwelling offers an opportunity to host your event in the hub of the Village, among exhibits and history. The reserved event space is perfect for a 72-person seated event.
• West Family Wash House is an ideal venue for seminars, meetings, and workshops. This space accommodates up to 50 guests and features a large, open event space and upstairs break-out room.
• The West Family Dwelling Cellar, constructed in 1821, is now a dining room featuring an intimate brick-floored space and can accommodate receptions and dinners for up to 65 guests.
• The West Family Dwelling Meeting Room accommodates up to 20 guests and provides a cozy area to meet – perfect for retreats, break-out sessions and small meetings.
• Shaker Village’s 3,000 acres of Grounds and Gardens, wildflower prairies, ponds and wooded grounds are available for ceremonies and social gatherings of all types.

Steeped in tradition, The Trustees’ Table’s menus celebrate Shaker Village’s roots by featuring dishes made of seasonal ingredients from our garden and local farmers. The menus offer dishes inspired by the seasons, changing based on the freshest locally available ingredients. Our family-style dinner menu brings a rotating selection of fresh-from-the-earth sides. Whether it’s your first visit or a beloved tradition, every meal connects you to the land, the season and the people who tend it.

Shaker Village of Pleasant Hill is Kentucky’s largest National Historic Landmark.  For over sixty years, we have been able to protect the historic buildings and natural landscape entrusted to our care because of your support and financial investment. You have also helped us seek new audiences and engage them with the Shaker story. Contributions have funded daily programs, new exhibits and signature events. Together we have ensured the Shaker legacy remains for future generations to discover. Because we receive no state or federal funding, we rely on the generosity of individual donors. When you make a gift, you’re funding the efforts of our master craftspeople, educators, naturalists and so much more! Your contribution is tax-deductible to the extent the law allows. A gift of any size will have an immediate impact.

Donations

Donations online can be made at specified amounts or you may customize your gifts; mailed checks in any amount are most welcome. Recurring gifts are encouraged. You may donate on behalf of a business, organization, or in memory, honor, or tribute to a special person or occasion. These donations contribute to the Annual Fund, the Endowment, and Capital Projects. We invite you to join The Shaker Society Annual Fund with a donation of $100 or more, and help us achieve our mission of inspiring generations through discovery by sharing the legacies of the Kentucky Shakers. Society levels include, * Discovery * Exploration * Adventures * Heritage * Trustee, and * Legacy.
