- WEST LOT DWELLING: The West Lot Dwelling, a scenic 1.5 mile drive from The Historic Centre, features a large, sunny reception and meeting room, double parlor, covered porch and enclosed courtyard, as well as six en-suite guest rooms. Its lawn and adjoining wildflower meadow are ideal locations for outdoor weddings, receptions, family reunions and other social events.
- 1820 METTING HOUSE: The 1820 Meeting House, located in the heart of The Historic Centre, accommodates 125 for a seated ceremony or meeting and is within walking distance of several reception venues.
- MEADOW VIEW BARN: The Meadow View Barn is a restored, open-air tobacco barn with stunning views of the rolling Shaker Village countryside. It is a flexible event venue, offering an outdoor ceremony site and covered reception or event space for up to 150.
- CENTRE FAMILY DWELLING: Host your event in the hub of the Village, among exhibits and history inside the Centre Family Dwelling. This building once housed up to 80 members of the Centre “family” in 14 bedrooms and had kitchens, a dining room, a cellar with food storage rooms, an infirmary and a large meeting room. The reserved event space is perfect for an 72-person seated event.
- WEST FAMILY WASH HOUSE: An ideal venue for seminars, meetings and workshops, the West Family Wash House accommodates up to 50 guests and features a large, open event space and upstairs break-out room.
- WEST FAMILY DWELLING CELLAR: The West Family Dwelling Dining Room, an intimate brick floored space constructed in 1821, can accommodate receptions and dinners for up to 65 guests.
- WEST FAMILY DWELLING MEETING ROOM: The West Family Dwelling Meeting Room accommodates up to 20 guests and provides a cozy area to meet—perfect for retreats, break-out sessions and small meetings.

Our combination of educational exhibits, engaging programs, seed-to-table dining, onsite shopping and comfortable overnight accommodations will allow you to create an experience that is tailor-made to your group!
- Private Guided Tours: Shaker Village‘s private guided tours connects your group to the history and culture of the Pleasant Hill Shakers and gives you exclusive access to a trained interpreter. Guided tours last approximately 60 minutes. Admission also includes access to all public tours, programs and exhibits.
- Wagon Rides: There’s no better way to maximize your views of Shaker Village‘s 3,000 acres than to take a tractor-pulled wagon ride! An interpreter will join up to 25 passengers for a one-hour narrated program as you traverse the rolling hills of Central Kentucky in style.
Lodging: The Inn at Shaker Village features 72 guest rooms, suites and private cottages spread throughout 13 historic buildings. The Inn is much more than a traditional hotel. Each room, and building, offers a distinct character and charm.Rooms are comfortably appointed with Shaker-inspired and reproduction furniture, original hardwood floors and spectacular countryside views. Groups may book overnight lodging through the Event Sales Team. Given the historic nature of Shaker Village, guest rooms are not accessible by elevator. Please consult the Event Sales Team during booking to ensure a quality experience for guests with limited mobility.
The River: Discover the Panoramic Kentucky River Palisades. Explore the unique Kentucky River Palisades by riverboat, kayak or foot. Shaker Landing provides one of the few public access points to the sweeping Kentucky River Palisades, with steep, scenic gorges and limestone outcroppings that stretch for miles. The Kentucky River was a source of livelihood for the Pleasant Hill Shakers and regular trading expeditions ventured as far as New Orleans. The same landing used by the Shakers is now the launching point for private river adventures. Hike a Shaker roadbed built in 1826 or drive the scenic road to Shaker Landing. The 400-foot descent will take you through rock formations between 400 and 500 million years old. Along the river’s edge, find river bottom hardwoods, spring waterfalls and the sheer vertical cliffs of the Palisades.
The Stable: Discover The Reserve on Horseback. Explore 3,000 acres of discovery by horseback! Saddle your favorite steed for a backcountry ride through Kentucky forests, fields and creek crossings. The Preserve’s trail system includes 29 miles of trails for horseback riding, with over 22 miles of those trails available for horse-drawn carriages as well! Riders must provide their own horses, as Shaker Village does not offer horses for trail rides. Overnight Boarding is available: The Stable offers 20 stalls, bedding, two single-horse paddocks, one two-horse paddock and trailer parking. Boarding reservations are required

Trustees’ Table: Dine on traditional favorites and seasonal Kentucky dishes prepared with straight-from-the-garden ingredients! Steeped in tradition, The Trustees’ Table’s menus celebrate Shaker Village’s roots by featuring dishes made of seasonal ingredients from our garden and local farmers. The menus offer dishes inspired by the seasons, changing based on the freshest locally available ingredients. Our family-style dinner menu brings a rotating selection of fresh-from-the-earth sides. Whether it’s your first visit or a beloved tradition, every meal connects you to the land, the season and the people who tend it.
