Donation

Thank you for supporting our work. Your generosity helps preserve our shared history, expand access to the arts, and ensure our museum and collections continue to serve the community for generations to come. We offer three ways to give, depending on how you’d like your support to make an impact.

  • General Donation: Donations to the Museum support day-to-day operations and programming, including exhibitions, educational initiatives, public programs, and general care of the museum space. These gifts allow us to respond to current needs and opportunities while continuing to welcome and engage our community. This is a donation to the Historical Society of Western Virginia.
  • H & C Sign Coffee Sign Campaign Donation: The Historical Society of Western Virginia has launched a fundraising campaign to relight and restore the H&C Coffee Sign. The project will repair the sign’s structure and upgrade the lighting to improve reliability and safety while preserving the sign’s historic appearance. The campaign will also create a permanent maintenance endowment for future repairs.
  • Sara Airheart Endowment for Collections: Gifts to the Sara Airheart Endowment for Collections provide long-term support for the preservation, conservation, and growth of the museum’s collections. Endowment donations help ensure that important historical objects, artworks, and archival materials are cared for and accessible well into the future. This is a lasting way to invest in the stewardship of our region’s history.
