Hold your next event at the Polk Museum of Art. Planning the perfect event involves personal decisions. You want your event to be special for you and your guests. With an atmosphere that is unique and sophisticated, the Polk Museum of Art is an elegant alternative to traditional event venues in Central Florida. We offer a variety of event packages for receptions and cocktail parties for up to 250 people and formal dinners for up to 50 people. Additionally, we have the perfect place for your next meeting, presentation or performance. The Kent Harrison Auditorium seats 152 people, with full audio-visual support; our Penfield Library has conference-style seating for 24 people, with full audio-visual support; and we have plenty of space in one of our two Museum classrooms.

Art Resource Trust (ART): The Polk Museum of Art collectors’ group, is a wonderful addition to your membership if you are interested in learning more about art, collecting, traveling and contributing to our permanent collection. Through their membership, ART members have made significant contributions to our permanent collection. Examples include works by Andy Warhol, Barbara Morgan, Damien Hirst, Hung Liu, and Robert Rauschenberg.

Donations:

Support your museum! Thank you for considering a donation to help sustain us during this time of financial difficulties. Any gift goes a long way towards allowing us to remain a vital source of art and cultural programming for the community. We thank you in advance for your generosity.

  • General Support Fund: General Fund Partners donate any amount they choose to support Museum offerings.
  • Tribute Gifts to Honor a Loved One or Recognize a Special Life Occasion: Tribute Partners donate any amount they choose to honor a person who will be notified.
  • Matching Gift Programs: Corporations can develop a Matching Gift Program with their employees and designate the Museum as its charitable recipient of donations of $100 and up.
  • Annual Exhibitions Fund
  • Permanent Collection and Conservation Fund: Permanent Collection and Conservation Partners help the Museum maintain its various Collections, make additional acquisitions, photograph and digitize Collection pieces, and upgrade its conservation capabilities. Gift amounts range from $5,000 and up annually.
  • Program and Events Fund: Program and Event Partners support accompanying exhibition-specific public programs, Gallery Talks, Film Series, Annual Gala, Mayfaire by-the-Lake or other events yearly. Gift amounts range from $7,500 and up to underwrite increasing program and event costs.
  • Naming Gifts: Naming Gift Partners donate $10,000 and up to support naming an exhibition or program in recognition of a person, foundation or corporation. These gifts can be pooled among partners of a family/business who contribute a minimum of $5,000 each.
  • Passion Leader Endowment Fund: Passion Leader Endowment Partners can establish a perpetual fund to sustain any Museum program, project or position they choose with a gift of $25,000 and up. Endowments may be named. Interest on the principle is used annually as directed.
  • Strategic Business Partners: Strategic Business Partners donate $50,000 and up to support free admission to the Museum year-round, exhibitions, programs or events as designated by the Partner. Naming opportunities in recognition of a family, corporation or foundation are available.
  • Art Angel Legacy Gifts: Art Angel Legacy Partners can make an eternal impact on the Museum’s mission through a variety of planned gifts such as appreciated stocks and securities, or naming the Polk Museum as a beneficiary on a life insurance policy, 401(k) plan, IRA, bequest, or charitable remainder trust. Legacy Partners should consult their attorneys and tax advisors to develop the most advantageous planned gift and receive significant tax benefits. Legacy Gifts may be named and/or designated to support a specific Fund.
  • Art Education Fund: Art Education Partners help sustain offering low-cost classes, workshops and Art Camps for children and families. Gift amounts range from $5,000 and up to support Certified Art Teachers’ stipends, art supplies and other educational expenses.

Volunteer: Volunteer categories include: High School Students, Summer and Spring Break Art Camp Volunteers: (must be 16 years or older), College Students/Interns, Docents, Event Volunteers, Administrative Volunteers, and Service Volunteers.
