A variety of spaces can be tailored for your function from a state-of-the-art 300-seat theater to a variety of galleries adorned by world-class art. With more than 220,000 square feet of classically progressive architecture and a collection of art from around the world, the Museum is a stunning and inspiring backdrop to any event. Seven distinctive spaces are available:
- Greenbaum Lobby: First impressions are important, and your guests will be immediately awed. A welcoming entrance, with floor to ceiling windows that capture an urban view of Central Phoenix and the celebrated desert sunset, this space can be utilized for greeting guests, enjoying cocktails, or an intimate setting for a smaller dinner.
- Rineberg Gallery: Receptions, intimate cocktail parties or medium-sized dinners are at home in this central gallery where the accent is on customization. Artworks from the Museum’s collection provide a unique atmosphere for any occasion.
- JP Morgan Chase Lobby: Bring the outdoors in with expansive windows overlooking the Dorrance Sculpture Garden. The Chase Lobby is a charming option for a cocktail hour or silent-auction space with a garden view.
- Singer Hall: Angela and Leonard Singer Hall is a state-of-the-art multipurpose space. An adaptable space, it has played host to board meetings, workshops, luncheons, and even private dinners. Singer Hall is equipped with the latest user-friendly technology.
- Whiteman Hall: The perfect place for presentations, awards banquets, panel discussions, lectures and meetings of varying sizes, Whiteman Hall was designed as a free-standing venue or to complement event activities in other Museum areas.
- Dorrance Sculpture Garden: More than an acre of the Museum’s grounds is designed to be a spectacular urban oasis – an environmental gallery space for sculpture, or simply a space for mindful reflection. The garden is the perfect one-of-a-kind spot for your ceremony or event, with lush lawns and mature shade trees.
- Entrance Terrace: A picturesque outdoor space that creates an exciting entry for arriving guests. The lovely cityscape view and water features provide an ideal backdrop for photo opportunities and first looks. The north driveway provides convenient access for valet, limousine, or motor coach delivery.

As an EATERY: Food for thought…
Alden @ Phxart: Named for the famed architect of Phoenix Art Museum, Alden B. Dow, Alden is set alongside the Museum’s stunning Dorrance Sculpture Garden and offer new American cuisine with flavors found throughout the Valley’s diverse community. Alden’s food and beverage program has been created and will be overseen by operating partner Monica X Castillo. The beautifully renovated dining space is a collaboration between Shepley Bulfinch, MRT Design, and DL Norton General Contracting.
Temporary Café: Temporary Café features * coffee * sandwiches * salads, and * pastries, with vegan and gluten-free options. The café is accessible to PhxArt visitors only.

- 21st Century Society: Our 21st Century Society is a group of highly honored friends who have made planned gifts to support the legacy of Phoenix Art Museum. Society members are invited to an annual celebration and reception, along with other events throughout the year. They are also recognized on a special donor board in the Museum. We are proud to recognize our 21st Century Society members, and we are grateful to those whose realized gifts help us to remain a pillar of the arts in our city, state, and region. - Bequests: Naming Phoenix Art Museum as a beneficiary of direct funds or assets in your will or living trust is a common way to provide a planned gift. Bequests may be for a specific dollar amount, a percentage of your estate, or the residual amount of your estate after all debts, expenses, and specific bequests have been paid and realized. Bequests can be made with gifts of cash, appreciated securities, or artwork. Bequest gifts will be unrestricted unless you designate them to specific program areas.
- Charitable Trusts: Charitable trusts can provide you with income for the term of the trust, while also providing significant support to Phoenix Art Museum at a considerable tax advantage. As a beneficiary of a charitable remainder trust, Phoenix Art Museum may receive a percentage of the trust or any remaining principal after the trust terminates. Charitable lead trusts provide the Museum with reliable income or use of an asset for a specified length of time, while you receive a reduction in gift or estate taxes. When the trust is terminated, the principal or property reverts back to you or your estate.
- Charitable Gift Annuity: A charitable gift annuity can provide Phoenix Art Museum with vital funding while still providing you or another beneficiary with an ongoing stable income for life. You may also receive an immediate income tax deduction. Simply transfer cash, securities, or other property to Phoenix Art Museum, and the Museum’s annuity provider pays you, or up to two annuitants, a lifetime annuity. The principal passes to Phoenix Art Museum after the lifetime of the income beneficiaries.
- Paid Life Insurance Policy or Retirement Account: You can help ensure future access to the visual arts and arts education programs simply by naming Phoenix Art Museum as the primary or contingent beneficiary of your paid life insurance policy or your 401(K), IRA, or other retirement account. You may leave all or part of your policies or accounts to the Museum, and because funds from retirement accounts are not subject to estate or income tax, the entire balance benefits your Museum and your community.
- Donor Advised Funds & Private Foundations: Supporting Phoenix Art Museum through donor-advised funds or private foundations can ensure your impact on increasing access to the visual arts and arts education.
- Gifts of Art: Since Phoenix Art Museum opened in 1959, collectors and philanthropists from across the Valley and the United States have donated artwork to grow the Museum’s collection and share inspiring art from around the world with our community. Today, we are the largest art museum in the Southwest, with a collection of more than 20,000 works of American, Asian, European, Latin American, Western American, modern and contemporary art, photography, and fashion design. We are grateful to the visionary donors who have donated artwork to help strengthen our legacy. Our Curatorial staff gives careful consideration to all gifts of art before accepting the art into the Museum’s collection.
Affiliate Groups: We are here to connect you with new friends and more enriching opportunities to engage with art. Special-interest affiliate groups blend your passions and interests with your commitment to community, all in support of Phoenix Art Museum. For Museum Members who may be looking to expand their knowledge of and connection to a collection or type of art, or for those who simply wish to make a greater impact on the Museum they love, special-interest affiliate groups provide an accessible path to socializing, learning, and philanthropy. - Arizona Costume Institute: Arizona Costume Institute promotes the appreciation and understanding of fashion design through the acquisition and preservation of works of historical and aesthetic significance, educational programs and support for Phoenix Art Museum‘s Fashion Design Department.
- Friends of Contemporary Art: We are here to support your interest in engaging with the contemporary art community at the Phoenix Art Museum. Our Friends of Contemporary Art (FCA) enjoy invitations to private exhibition previews, special events, behind-the-scenes tours, and more. With an FCA membership, you unlock exclusive access to some of the world’s leading contemporary artists, right here in the heart of our city.
