• Riverfront Courtyard: Featuring a 30’ x 75’ tent, this outdoor space is popular for company picnics and evening receptions and features dynamic city views along the Willamette River. It’s the perfect spot for company picnics or evening receptions.

• Auditorium: A multi-functional space perfect for presentations, panel discussions, lectures and meetings.

Why OMSI? Founded in 1944, the Oregon Museum of Science and Industry (OMSI) helps everyone discover their love for science. Without diverse scientific thinkers, decisions can be uninformed, and fears—not facts—motivate actions. We have a vision that OMSI, collaborating with partners, will ignite an education transformation at the intersection of science, technology and design that spreads opportunities across the Northwest. Through hundreds of exciting hands-on exhibits, engaging lab activities, camps, classes, and outreach programs that span across the region, OMSI empowers a scientifically-literate community by exploring the connections between the big wide world and our individual impact.

From greeting visitors to presenting amazing science demonstrations to helping behind the scenes, there’s a place for you here. We’re Ready for You. Share your passion for learning and science with your community by joining our volunteer team. As an OMSI Volunteer, you’ll gain new skills and experience, meet interesting people, and enjoy a fun, family-friendly atmosphere. What does it take? Most volunteer positions require at least 8 hours per month for at least 9 months.
