As a member you’ll enjoy free admission to exhibitions, invitations to special events, discounts in the Museum Store and so much more! Memberships are good for one year, beginning when the membership is purchased and lasting 12 consecutive months. For Patron level and above memberships, you may waive your benefits; in that case your membership becomes 100 percent tax deductible, and no sales tax will be charged. Gift memberships are also encouraged. Volunteer: Our volunteers play a vital role in advancing our mission of preserving the people’s art collection. Their support allows the Museum to engage with the community and enrich lives through the power and wonder of art.
Internships: Internships at the NCMA provide opportunities to become familiar with and actively contribute to the inner workings of an art museum. They are available in many departments, such as Curatorial, Education, Marketing, and Advancement.
Art Society: As the founding body of the North Carolina Museum of Art, this group advocates for the Museum across the state, so that all citizens—newcomers and natives, schoolchildren and seniors—know that they have a museum in Raleigh.
Friends of the Judaic Art Gallery: The Judaic Art Gallery at the North Carolina Museum of Art illuminates the spiritual and ceremonial life of the Jewish people through works of art of aesthetic excellence.
Friends of Greek Art: Marble statues of heroes, emperors, gods, and goddesses displayed with ceramic vessels of remarkable skill in the classical art galleries enrich the visit of adults and children, offering insight into history, artistic techniques, and philosophy.
