As a VENUE: Host your event…
Planning a special event has as much to do with attending to the perfection of details as it does with presenting a passion for entertaining. You will find that both pursuits are well served at The Newark Museum, where a professional staff will help you create a memorable and exciting event set against a backdrop of timeless art and culture. The Museum offers four distinctive spaces for entertaining: including the elegant Engelhard Court, the richly decorated Ballantine House, the beautiful Alice Ransom Dreyfuss Memorial Garden, and the Billy Johnson Auditorium:
- Engelhard Court: For ceremonies or company celebrations, consider the Engelhard Court. This spacious environment of classical design, punctuated by marble floors, seventeen-foot ficus trees and natural light, is an excellent choice for dinner and dancing. The Court also offers access to the Museum‘s galleries, which can be toured by your guests before and during your event.
- Ballantine House: For small parties, meetings, or conferences, we highly recommend the spaces in the landmark Ballantine House. The oak-paneled Trustees Room and the charming Helen S. Meyner Room, with their grand yet “clubby” feeling, are perfect for discussing business or dining in small groups. The Yellow Room is also recommended as a “break-out” facility for small seminars and workshops.
- Alice Ransom Dreyfuss Memorial Garden: The Alice Ransom Dreyfuss Memorial Garden is a beautiful courtyard sculpture garden, well suited for outdoor affairs from small cocktail receptions to tented events.
- Billy Johnson Auditorium: The Billy Johnson Auditorium, which seats 272 people and has state-of-the-art audio-visual facilities, is perfect for off-site employee and sales meetings.
