Be a DONOR: Show that you care…
Donations:
- Monetary Gifts: The generosity of donors has fueled the National Museum of Funeral History since it began in 1992. Over the years, donations large and small have helped the Museum to grow its collection, its exhibits and the cultural and educational impact it makes upon the funeral service industry and the greater public. Please consider a donation to the Museum. Donate because the Museum’s mission inspires you. Donate in honor of a member of the funeral service profession. Donate in memory of a loved one. Funerals and memorials are important tributes to a life well lived. You can make a one-time donation or create a living memorial by making a recurring donation to honor the life of a friend or family member.
- Memorial Gifts: A memorial gift is a meaningful way to remember a loved one who has passed away by making a gift in his or her memory. We will send a letter to whomever you designate, notifying them of your kind gift.
- Tribute Gifts: A tribute gift is a way to mark special occasions or to pay tribute to an individual who has made a difference in your life. Tribute gifts honor celebrations such as: anniversaries, births, birthdays, bar/bat mitzvah, graduations, weddings, and professional milestones, such as promotions and retirements. Memorial and Tribute gifts allow you to honor and remember family, friends, clients and colleagues in a unique way while generously supporting the Museum. The Museum will send a letter to the person you are honoring, acknowledging your thoughtful gift.
- Buy a Brick: Support the Museum with an engraved brick bearing your name, or that of someone you wish to honor. Each engraved brick is located in the Museum’s Heritage Hall, where it helps comprise a beautiful tribute, representing hundreds of our generous patrons.
- Adopt an Artifact: Adopting an artifact is a unique way to get involved with the Museum and help provide the funding needed to continue our mission. Artifacts are essential in fulfilling the mission of the National Museum of Funeral History and play an important role in teaching museum visitors about the cultural value and honorable heritage of the funeral service industry. By adopting one of the artifacts, you help support the Museum in the preventative care and treatment of all objects in our collection and help to ensure their long-term preservation.
- Donate Artifacts: Many of the pieces displayed today at the National Museum of Funeral History were donated by individuals, families and companies—from singular items found in a relative’s attic to vast collections amassed by generations of funeral directors. The Museum is happy to consider and frequently accepts items of historical significance to enhance its collection.
- Corporate Giving: Support us in preserving the history of the industry. Honoring the compassion and dedication of the funeral service industry and educating the public about this proud heritage are the primary goals of the Museum since it began in 1992. Corporate support helps the Museum convey the significance of the funeral industry to new and seasoned professionals, as well as to the general public through a broad range of exhibits and programs. Your support will ensure the Museum can continue to enlighten visitors on one of man’s oldest cultural rituals and celebrate the heritage of funeral service.
