From intimate gatherings to corporate retreats, the Museum of Idaho is a unique venue for your next event. A variety of spaces are available:
- Maeck Education Center – East Room: Great for presentations and events up to 90 people. projector, sound system, Apple TV, podium, sink, counter space, direct access to preparation area, direct access to Way Out West exhibit hall.
- Capacity: Banquet style: up to 10 tables (5′ round, 8 seats) = 80 people; Classroom style: up to 12 tables (6’x2′ rectangular, 3-4 seats) = 36-48 people, depending on configuration; Cocktail party style: up to 9 cocktail tables = 90 people; Theater style: up to 90 chairs.
- Maeck Education Center – West Room: Great for small meetings or birthday parties up to 30 people. Projector, whiteboard, sound system, Apple TV, couch, two armchairs, direct access to street, direct access to Discovery Room.
- Capacity: Banquet style: up to 4 tables (5′ round, 8 seats) = 32 people; Classroom style: up to 6 tables (6’x2′ rectangular, 3-4 seats) = 18-24 people, depending on configuration; Cocktail party style: up to 7 cocktail tables = 32 people; Theater style: up to 32 chairs.
- Entire Museum: For an unforgettable after-hours event for 2 or 200 people (or more). Includes exhibit galleries, Maeck Education Center (East and West), and additional rooms. All Maeck Education Center amenities + ability to set up tables, chairs, sound system, podium, stage, etc. in exhibit galleries (some restrictions apply).

Every gift makes a difference: Admissions, grants, and other earned revenue cover only a fraction of what we do as a 501(c)3 nonprofit. Your donations and sponsorships make up the balance. Here’s what to know right away:
- You have options: help build The Way Out West, contribute to the MOI Sustainability Fund, or pick another cause.
- It might be cheaper than you think, thanks to generous Idaho Education Tax Credits.
- Major gifts and sponsorships can come with naming opportunities and leverage community support through matching.
- Planned giving options are available, such as bequests, charitable trusts, gifts of other assets, tax-saving deductions from your IRA, and more.
- Donate an Artifact: Thanks to the generosity of people like you, the Museum of Idaho has amassed a sizable collection of artifacts, objects, and specimen. We are careful to accept only donations that adhere to our mission, avoid duplication, and assure the best use of our resources. All potential donations go through a review process overseen by experts qualified to assess the relevance and suitability of items according to our policies.
