Rental space is available 7 days a week for before and after hours events. Some rooms available for daytime private events; full facility rentals available during Friday and weekend evenings. The Northeast Delta Dental Science Store at the McAuliffe-Shepard Discovery Center has a wide variety of: * air & space-related toys * books * science kits * T-shirts * caps, and * memorabilia. Calendars feature winning entries in our statewide lunar art contest for children and teens. All proceeds from sales support the Discovery Center. With support from our wonderful friends and neighbors at Northeast Delta Dental, 6,487 community members were able to visit the Discovery Center free of charge on opening weekend. Delta Dental’s continued generosity has allowed us to keep our prices affordable and to offer new shows, exhibits and programs for NH families and visitors to the Granite State.

Volunteer: Volunteers are crucial to the success of the Discovery Center! Through the efforts of our extraordinary volunteers, the Discovery Center is able to provide quality programs and events that benefit our many visitors.

NASA Space Grant STEM Interns: The McAuliffe-Shepard Discovery Center seeks candidates with STEM backgrounds to work with educators, day campers, and the public at the Discovery Center this summer. Our NASA Space Grant STEM Interns will work with the Discovery Center’s Education Team to develop age-appropriate, STEM-based curricula and daily activities for the Center’s summer STEM day camp series for ages 5-14, and serve as lead summer camp teachers and counselors, creating an enjoyable, safe, challenging educational STEM camp for all Discovery Center campers. Camp topics include astronomy, programming, and meteorology. Staff and programs at the McAuliffe-Shepard Discovery Center, including day camps and STEM Interns, will follow NH State Guidance for COVID protocols to ensure the safety of campers, staff, and the visiting public.
