And there’s hope in your new beginnings and treasured traditions at the park and estate. This enchanting place is so special because it’s ours for personal experiences that delight, educate and inspire us each day. Maymont belongs to all of us, and it depends on all of us, too. Please donate to nurture the joy, love and hope found within our shared community treasure. Suggested are a range of donation amounts.

  • Adopt an Animal: Your Adopt an Animal donation helps to provide a healthy diet, veterinary care, enrichment activities and habitat maintenance to the hundreds of animals who live at Maymont, including injured and orphaned wildlife, friendly farm animals, and aquatic species of the James River. Plus you’re helping us offer environmental and animal-related education to thousands of children who visit during school field trips, public programs, summer camps and outings with family and friends.
  • Memorial Gifts: Honor loved ones, commemorate special occasions, or proclaim your family’s affection for Maymont with a memorial gift. The purchase of farm pavers and tree memorials are fully tax deductible.
  • Planned Giving (Bequests, Retirement Plan Assets, Charitable Remainder Trust, Charitable Lead Trust): Your planned giving contribution will help Maymont to build steady and sustainable financial resources that are crucial for the estate’s present needs, future enhancements, and its commitment to provide enriching experiences for all guests. Through planned giving, you can minimize your tax obligations while maximizing benefits to your heirs and Maymont.

Doubling your donation to Maymont can be as simple as filling out a form! Many businesses will match charitable donations, and the tax-deductible portion of a Maymont membership may also be eligible for matching. Your donation will be recognized at the amount of your individual donation plus the gift match.

Volunteer: Whether you can give a few days a year or a few hours each week, your contribution will help this American estate to thrive. And few organizations offer such a wide variety of volunteer opportunities! Volunteer hours provide Maymont with the equivalent of 11 full-time staff members. They are an integral part of our organization and serve in a number of capacities. Time commitments vary; special events volunteers may work only one or two days a year, while other volunteers work several hours a month.
