Membership:
The Lakeport Pillars is our Museum membership and friends program. The Lakeport Plantation relies on the support of our members and volunteers to continue to maintain our collection and provide quality educational programming. Membership gives the participants free admission, discounts on workshops and events, a 10% discount on gift shop items, and the quarterly newsletter. Memberships at specified levels are offered: * Student * Individual * Family * Century * Diamond * Heritage * Torch * Corporate Sponsorship, and * Museum Benefactor.
Donations:
We would like to invite you to support the Lakeport Plantation. We are grateful to our many friends who keep our museum going through annual financial support. Financial contributions can be made online, by mail or in person.
- Donations to Collection: The Lakeport Plantation’s mission includes preserving artifacts and papers related to the history of the plantations and slavery in Chicot County. Lakeport also collects items generally related to local history of the region, however, space is limited. If you wish to make a donation to the museum’s collection, please contact the curator.
Volunteer: If you live near Lakeport, consider volunteering some of your time at Lakeport. There are many opportunities to engage with history and people by helping with tours, Lakeport’s collection, and historical research.
