Museum Guides come from a wide range of backgrounds and professions. What do KMAC Museum Guides do? Museum Guides contribute to KMAC in several ways: Touring: by serving as tour guides for school groups on field trips and the general public visiting the Museum. Research: by preparing background information on the works of art in the Museum’s exhibitions, collection, and new acquisitions. Outreach: by giving Mobile Museum presentations at local schools, community centers and libraries.

Volunteer: KMAC volunteers make it all possible! Volunteers are utilized in day to day museum activities, special events, and educational programming. To become a part of the KMAC community, click below to view and sign up for current volunteer opportunities.

Internship: The KMAC Museum internship program welcomes students and recent graduates who wish to broaden their education and professional experience by working and learning in a non-profit museum. KMAC departments offer experiential education in a challenging, hands-on environment in exchange for a substantive contribution from talented and interested individuals. The value of an internship lies in the educational experience it provides for both students and Museum staff. Interns accomplish needed museum work while gaining insight and experience to guide their future career decisions.
