- The Great Hall & Exhibits: 3,700 SQ FT
Found in the heart of the museum, this space offers many unique amenities with the ability to customize to your heart’s content. Create the perfect romantic atmosphere with the customizable 360° mezz screen that surrounds the large oval atrium and set the mood with personalized adjustments to the domed ceiling lighting. Automatic doors open right out to first-floor exhibits where guests can engage and explore to create a truly immersive experience you and your friends and family will not soon forget.

- Oaks Garden Terrace: 7,300 SQ FT
Tucked between Kentucky Derby Museum and Churchill Downs, The Oaks Garden Terrace feels like a secret garden elegantly wrapped in Derby history and modern design. Blur the line of inside and out with glass-panel garage-style doors that fully open where guests can enjoy the open-air gardens or climate-controlled interiors. This newly renovated space balances subtle nods to horse racing with beautiful structural beams and high ceilings to create a clean and modern canvas for your big day.
Capacity: 350 seated with dance floor | 600 cocktail style | 300 ceremony
- Second Floor Gallery: 3,000 SQ FT
Sitting above the museum’s exhibits, the Second Floor Gallery offers an elegant and intimate setting for your special day. Large windows allow in lots of natural light to create an airy, open atmosphere while oversized chandeliers add just the right touch of sophistication and Derby charm. Guests can take in the views of Churchill Downs from the wrap-around enclosed balcony or explore the exhibits found right outside the Gallery. From an intimate ceremony to celebratory cocktail hour, this space is perfect for couples wanting to add a little Derby magic to their big day.

The Outriders Volunteer Program: One of the best ways to support Kentucky Derby Museum and its mission is to become a volunteer! Not only will you be able to help engage, educate, and excite others about the extraordinary event that is the Kentucky Derby, you’ll also have access to unique behind-the-scenes experiences that will deepen your own personal connection with the Derby. Volunteers can expect to support the team by participating in research and cataloging; preparing mailings; greeting guests; helping with special events and administrative responsibilities; and so much more. We greatly appreciate our volunteers donating their time, effort, and expertise and are happy to work with you to find the right fit based on your skills and interests.
