Donations
There are various ways to give to the Museum, from supporting day-to-day operations to securing its future through an endowment gift. Your generous support has allowed us to be where we are today – a highly regarded institution and the only art museum of such scale and significance in Nebraska and the region. A gift to the annual fund helps both honor our past and celebrate the future. Every gift, of any size, counts – we are tremendously grateful for your support. Thank you again for being a part of Joslyn Art Museum.
- Donations at specified amounts are designated or you may customize your gift.
- Tribute Gifts: A memorial/tribute is a thoughtful way to celebrate a special occasion or to honor family or friends. Joslyn’s Memorial/Tribute Gift Program allows you to recognize individuals, couples, groups, special occasions such as birthdays or anniversaries, or someone’s passing. When you make a memorial/tribute gift, a personalized card in acknowledgment is sent to the individual or family being honored. You will also receive a letter acknowledging your gift and the gift amount will appear on your donor acknowledgement for your records. All donations of $100 or more will be recognized in Joslyn’s annual report.
- Planned Giving: Like the Museum’s founder, Sarah Joslyn, many loyal supporters of Joslyn Art Museum choose to honor the institution and enhance their communities with legacy gifts. Whether your intentions are to make provisions for an organization that is meaningful to you in your estate plan, eliminate taxes, or benefit from an increased income stream, there is a gift to fit every objective. By including Joslyn Art Museum in your estate plan, you leave a legacy for future generations to experience culture, education, and entertainment through the visual arts. You also automatically become a member of Joslyn’s planned giving society. A gift to the Museum from your will or trust is one of the simplest ways to benefit the future of Joslyn Art Museum. There are also a variety of fiscal planning tools such as a charitable gift annuity, charitable lead trust, charitable remainder trust, life insurance, gifts of retirement plans and other assets that offer tax incentives and benefits to encourage charitable giving.
- Endowment: Joslyn Art Museum Foundation has undertaken an ambitious plan to significantly increase its endowment through cash and estate gifts. A larger endowment will lessen the Museum‘s dependency on annual fundraising, increase funds available for art acquisition, sustain a conservation and building maintenance program, and support educational programming and scholarly research. Increasing the endowment provides more income for core budget areas and greater financial stability and growth, allowing Joslyn to implement its long-range strategic plan. Every year Joslyn receives gifts to the endowment of all amounts from donors who wish to help secure the Museum‘s financial future and ensure the permanency of programs and collections that serve, enrich and engage visitors.
- Corporate Sponsorship: Joslyn Art Museum is proud to offer outstanding opportunities to partner with local and national corporations in support of exhibitions and programs. Museum personnel work closely with corporate sponsors to build relationships with the Museum and provide valuable benefits to the community as well as increase awareness of your involvement in the cultural fabric of our community. Not only will your company build brand awareness with the general public through sponsorship, but it will also increase your visibility among a targeted segment of the metropolitan population, Museum members. Show the community and museum visitors from across the country and around the world you support our community and quality arts education by sponsoring an exhibition, education or outreach program, or special event at Joslyn Art Museum. There are a variety of ways that we proudly acknowledge your support that are highly visible to the nearly 150,000 visitors annually. Sponsorships are tailored for each exhibition program, education program, or event.
