Weddings:

Create the elegant, breathtakingly romantic wedding celebration of your dreams amidst the splendor of The Huntington‘s exquisite estate gardens in beautiful San Marino. Make your special day unforgettable with a Huntington Estate Wedding.

  • Venues & Capacity: The romantic and fragrant blooms of the Rose Garden, the Gilded Age formality of the North Vista’s fountain and statuary, the traditional terraces and pavilions of the Chinese Garden, and the timeless, sweeping views from the South Terrace of The Huntington Art Gallery are a just a few of the many options available on the 200-acre historic property. Indoor venues include covered loggias of the art galleries, and the spectacular glass-domed Rose Hill Garden Courtyard. Gallery interiors and the Library Exhibition Hall are not available for events, but may be made available for your guests to tour. Capacity varies by location, with intimate celebrations in the Japanese Garden, to grand events on the North Vista accommodating up to 900 guests.

As an EATERY: Food for thought…

Four distinct locations and offerings:

  • Jade Court Café: Serving delicious pork and chive pot stickers, Dan Dan Noodles, spicy-sweet Ginger Crème Brûlée and more, the new Jade Court Cafe is already a Huntington favorite.
  • 1919 Café: Serving a selection of freshly prepared menu items along with the recently re-opened taqueria. Indoor and outdoor dining available. The Bar is also open offering a wide selection of wine and beer.
  • Red Car Coffee Shop: Inspired by the Pacific Electric Railway and showcasing travel posters from The Huntington’s Collections, Red Car coffee shop offers espresso, tea, pastries, ice cream, snacks, and grab-and-go fare. Pick up a warm croissant breakfast sandwich, muffin, or scone to go if you’re in a hurry or take your time and enjoy a sandwich or salad for lunch seated at the banquette, booth, or bar area.
  • Rose Garden Tea Room: Set within the historic Rose Garden, the Tea Room offers an elegant and memorable experience inspired by tradition of English tea service with a distinctive California twist.

  • Collectors’ Council: The Collectors’ Councils play a critical role in supporting The Huntington‘s collections, ensuring they will be vibrant for generations to come, and assisting library and art curators in selecting works for acquisition that further enhance the holdings begun by Henry and Arabella Huntington. The councils are a convivial group of Huntington supporters who enjoy exclusive events throughout the year including behind-the-scenes tours of special exhibitions and collections, and curator-led trips to institutions and private collections around the world.
  • Art Collectors’ Council: Founded in 1994, the Art Collectors’ Council meets every spring to select works for acquisition presented by The Huntington‘s curatorial staff.

Become a Volunteer: Volunteering at The Huntington is a great way to learn about plants and culture, meet people with similar interests, and share your knowledge and enthusiasm with visitors! Volunteers are a vital and valued resource at The Huntington. Opportunities include:

  • Information volunteers – provide information to visitors at various locations including admissions, orientation gallery, library, art galleries, and the gardens
  • Garden volunteers – provide vital support to the botanical staff dead-heading, weeding, re-potting, and tending the many gardens
  • Docent volunteers – lead public and school tours of the library, art, and botanical collections
  • Office volunteers – assist staff with administrative support and special projects
