The Holter Museum of Art provides a number of unique and modern spaces for rent in a beautiful historic building in Downtown Helena:
Thank you for thinking of the Holter Museum of Art and The E.L. Wiegand Creativity Center for your upcoming event. We are pleased to provide you with a versatile venue for your event, providing you and your guests a unique opportunity to privately view our contemporary art exhibitions featured in our galleries while congregating in a creative, community space made for arts and entertainment.
We have several event options to choose from including * Intimate Gathering Packages * Big Bash Packages, and * non-profit discounts to fit your needs. The Holter’s Event Coordinator will assist you throughout the process and he/she/they or a designated Holter staff member will be present at all times during your event.
Four galleries are available for rent in addition to two classrooms. The Holter’s galleries and classrooms provide the perfect location for any event, from large * receptions and * training sessions to * professional meetings and intimate * gatherings. With world class artwork as your backdrop, your event is guaranteed to be a memorable occasion.

The Holter Museum celebrates its ability to offer free admission to the museum every day of the year! We reply on the generosity of individuals to support the Holter’s exhibitions and educational programs. Your membership will ensure that the Holter continues its dedication to collecting and preserving art, providing “re-imagined” exhibitions, and creating innovative and creative art education for our community. Become a member today! A Holter Membership is the perfect gift for your art-loving friend or family member! Memberships are valid for one year from the date of purchase, offering exclusive benefits while supporting your museum in the Helena community. Donations:
Your generosity to the museum’s Annual Fund allows us to continue to bring the healing powers of art to all in the Helena community through our relevant and “re-imagined” exhibitions, our innovative arts programming for art lovers of all ages, and unique partnerships with other local organizations in our community. All of our exhibits are 100% available to everyone in the community, regardless of income. Your support makes all of this possible. Memorial and honorary gifts are also encouraged. Gifts are 100% tax-deductible. The Holter Museum of Art is a non-profit 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization.
- Corporate Giving: Holter business members provide annual, flexible support for the Holter. These funds are an important part of underwriting the museum’s free admission. Any annual contribution (cash or in-kind) over $500 entitled the business to be recognized as a Holter business member. Promotional benefits for business members include annual recognition on Holter on-site walls, in the Holter’s Annual Report, and in an issue of the HeART of the Holter e-newsletter. Business sponsors comprise the Holter’s supporters from the business community that want to exhibit a close and substantive partnership with the Holter. The Holter provides a variety of ways for companies to combine philanthropic support with cross-marketing benefits, giving exposure to a broad demographic of visitors and donors. Company-specific visibility and recognition will be accorded to each business sponsor. Promotional benefits include recognition on Holter on-site walls, in the Holter’s Annual Report, and as follows, according to the level of support.
- Sponsorships: We are asking our generous community partners and sponsors to help us provide more lifelong arts learning opportunities by supporting the Holter’s new E. L. Wiegand Creativity Center – AKA the W! We have been talking to many Helena nonprofit organizations and groups who would like to use the W to incorporate the arts into what they do – having access to diverse mixed media classes, participate in movement programs such as dance and yoga, attend W events, and so much more! Your sponsorship today will give them access to the W for one year!
- Legacy & Planned Giving: Leave a legacy of care. Your life is your legacy, and your passion for art in our community has been a demonstrated and consistent value of yours. Through planned giving, you can make sure that your compassion and caring lives on, knowing that everyone will have access to contemporary and our innovative arts programming. That’s our commitment, and we know it’s yours too:
- IRA Rollover Gifts: If you’re required to receive minimum distributions from your IRA and this additional income may create a tax burden, consider using these funds as a charitable gift.
- Gifts of Stock: Your broker can assist you in making a gift of stock via a direct transfer to the Holter Museum of Art.
Volunteer: Volunteers play a critical role at the Holter Museum of Art. Orientation meetings and training sessions will keep you well-informed about Holter activities and events throughout the year. All volunteers enjoy the benefits of belonging to an active group of individuals where you will enjoy meeting other volunteers with similar interests. Volunteers are needed in all museum departments!
