Three Special Event packages are offerd:

  • Mix & Mingle: Mix & Mingle events are best for larger groups that prefer a standing reception. This package includes three hours private Museum access, cocktail tables, 6’ and 8’ tables, access to select exhibits for groups of more than 50 people*, and staff for set up and tear down of Museum-owned equipment
  • A Night at the Museum Whether it’s a corporate dinner or a rehearsal dinner, having a night at the Museum is sure to be a crowd pleaser. This package includes four hours private Museum access, 60” round tables, cocktail tables, 6’ and 8’ tables, chairs, access to select exhibits*, and staff for set up and tear down of Museum-owned equipment.

Rimrock Café

If you’d like to enjoy the Rimrock Café without visiting the rest of the Museum, just ask for a pass from the Admissions Desk when you arrive.

Take a break and enjoy a great lunch or healthy snack in the café while you’re visiting the Museum!  We serve made-to-order sandwiches and wraps, as well as an array of beverages. Our daily specials are often inspired by our ever-changing exhibits. Join us in our comfortable, casual dining atmosphere. And, in the warmer months, you can dine on our beautiful patio, surrounded by tall trees.

Membership

If you visit the Museum more than twice a year, or if you bring friends and family when you come, you’ll save money when you join and purchase a Museum Membership. All members enjoy free admission year round, invitations to exclusive events, discounts in the Museum store and café, guest passes and more. Your gift today helps support efforts ranging from kids’ camps to exhibitions! Thank you for helping us bring together wildlife, cultures, art, history and the natural world to convey the wonder of North America’s High Desert.

  • Donations at specified amounts are designated or you may customize your gifts. Recurring gifts are encouraged. You may donate in memory, honor, or as a tribute to a special person or occasion. Please consider making a sustaining gift on a recurring monthly or quarterly basis.
  •  Desert Sage Society: Join a special community of donors! When you contribute to the High Desert Museum, a part of you becomes a part of the High Desert – now and for generations to come. As a Desert Sage Society member, you’ll have the opportunity to share a more intimate relationship with the Museum, its leadership, other supporters and all the incredible exhibits and collections. As your commitment grows, so do the benefits to you, your family and to the community.
  • Corporate Membership in Desert Sage Society: Give back to the community and provide a valuable employee benefits at the same time. Supporting the High Desert Museum makes good business sense. People want to conduct business with companies that actively support the local community. A corporate membership in the Museum’s Desert Sage Society is an easy and inexpensive way to do just that. Only corporate members receive a transferable membership pass to be used by your staff and their families, as well as guests and clients (two adults and three children per visit). Proceeds from these memberships support critical operations throughout the Museum. A corporate membership is truly an investment in a community treasure, one which will provide dividends for years to come.
  • Adopt An Animal: You can adopt your favorite animal and help provide the expert care and nutrition they need for as little as $30.The High Desert Museum cares for over 100 animals, from magnificent bald eagles to river otters and desert tortoises.As an adoptive animal parent, you are supporting the work of our wildlife staff and volunteers who care for animals that could not survive in the wild. Many of the animals have non-releasable injuries, meaning they could not survive in the wild. They all require ongoing veterinary care and specialized diets to maintain their health and well-being. Every animal is provided special food that gives them the essential nutrients they would obtain in the wild. It costs $1,700 a year to care for an eagle, and as much as $7,500 a year to care for one otter. By adopting one of the listed animals here, you can help us provide for their care. It’s easy! And it makes a great gift!
    • KEEPER SUPPORT LEVEL: Badger, Bald Eagle, Barn Owl, Desert Tortoise, Great Horned Owl,,Porcupine, Rattlesnake, River Otter, Skunk, Trout and Red-Tailed Hawk.
