As a VENUE: Host an event…

GRAMMY Museum® Mississippi provides a one-of-a kind setting for your special event. The Museum‘s facility is the perfect venue for: * WEDDING RECEPTIONS * ENGAGEMENT PARTIES * CEREMONIES * BIRTHDAY PARTIES * CORPORATE BANQUETS RETREATS * MEETINGS * NON-PROFIT FUNDRAISERS * SOCIALS * EDUCATIONAL PRESENTATIONS, and * CONFERENCES. When you book your event at GRAMMY Museum Mississippi, you will also be able to offer your guests an after-hours tour of their unique and interactive exhibits, including a highlights film “Great GRAMMY Performances.” Exhibit tours are self-guided, allowing guests to proceed at their own pace. The exhibits provide an exciting backdrop for your special event, inspiring conversation amongst your guests along the way. Usually guests spend 45 minutes to an hour touring exhibits during a reception or before or after a special dinner hosted in the Museum lobby or on the front porch. Five distinctive spaces are available:

  • Paul and Lucy Janoush Front Porch: Located at the front of the museum, the Front Porch is a flexible, outdoors event space that features a view of and access to the Museum’s Sculpture Garden and Pedestrian Plaza.
    • Capacity: Standing Reception – 350 guests; Seated Dining – 200 guests
    • 5,400 square feet
  • Jim and Donna Barksdale Lobby: This modern open space is perfect for a standing reception or seated dinner with quick access to viewing of all museum exhibits.
    • Capacity: Standing Reception – 250 guests; Seated Dining – 130 guests
    • 2,700 square feet
  • Sanders Soundstage: The Sanders Soundstage is an intimate, state-of-the-art 130-seat theater, perfect for hosting seminars, conferences, award banquets, corporate retreats, meetings, trainings, and more.
    • Capacity: Theater Seating – 130 guests
    • 1,348 square feet
  • Guaranty Bank Classroom: This intimate room is perfect for facilitating meetings and small gatherings.
    • Capacity: 25 guests
    • 493 square feet
  • Lucy Richardson Janoush Conference Room: The Conference Room is located on the Northwest corner of the Museum with a beautiful view of the surrounding landscape. It is the perfect space for meetings, staff retreats, and trainings.
    • Capacity: Conference Seating – 14 guests; Maximum Seating – 20 guests
    • 510 square feet

  • Matching Gifts: Companies both large and small frequently sponsor matching gift programs, which match charitable gifts contributed by their employees. Matching ratios differ depending on the organization.
  • Gifts In Honor or Memory: There are many opportunities to commemorate family members, friends, or colleagues on an anniversary or other occasion. These gifts are greatly appreciated by the people being honored and their families, as well as by GRAMMY Museum Mississippi.
  • Gifts of Securities: Gifts of appreciated securities not only help to fulfill the mission of the Museum, but also provide a considerable tax savings. You may have the opportunity to avoid capital gains tax on donated appreciated stocks.
  • In Kind: GRAMMY Museum Mississippi accepts in-kind gifts as appropriate to our needs.

Support the Museum and its mission by ordering a GRAMMY Museum Mississippi license plate: Museum friends and music lovers can support the Museum and its mission by ordering a GRAMMY Museum® Mississippi license plate. Once we have received the required 300 signed forms that need to be submitted to the Department of Revenue for the production process, the car tags will be available through your county license office. Proceeds from the sale of the specialty tags will fund priority educational programs at the Museum. To apply for your tag, complete the application and submit the specialty car tag fee of $33.00. The Museum will receive $24.00 dollars per car tag to support programs.  In order for the Museum to benefit, the initial 300 GRAMMY Museum® Mississippi specialty tags must be pre-sold.

Volunteer: Help provide essential support for our Mission and get involved in the day-to-day life of the Museum by joining us as a volunteer! Opportunities are available seven days a week at the Museum and even include after-hours events. From greeting and assisting visitors at public programs to leading guided tours for all ages, volunteers perform a broad range of functions across the Museum. Volunteers work alongside and in support of our staff to further our vision to educate and inspire the next generation of American music innovators. Red Carpet Guild: The mission of the Red Carpet Guild is to promote, support and sustain GRAMMY Museum® Mississippi through an organization of committed volunteers.
