Qualified Charitable Distribution

If you are 70½ or older, you can make a tax-smart gift to the Frazier History Museum directly from your IRA using a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD). It’s a powerful way to support our mission while potentially reducing your taxable income. Please consult your tax advisor to determine if this giving option is right for you.

  1. Contact your IRA administrator and let them know you’d like to make a QCD to Frazier History Museum. Most administrators have a simple form or online portal to initiate the gift.
  2. Provide the following information:
    Organization Name: Frazier History Museum
    Tax ID (EIN): 61-1378343
Mailing Address: 829 W. Main Street, Louisville, KY 40202
Contact (optional): our Manager of Fundraising, (502) 753-1693
  3. Specify the amount of up to $100,000 per year directly from your IRA to qualifying charities. If you are required to take a Required Minimum Distribution, a QCD can satisfy all or part of that obligation.
  4. Ask your IRA custodian to include your name on the check so we can properly acknowledge your generous support.
  5. Notify us of your gift so we can confirm when it arrives and properly thank you.
