Also included with your membership is a FREE subscription to DAV Magazine. Lifetime membership is offered, and for veterans 80 and older, membership is free.

• Donate Birthday: Invite your loved ones to support veterans for your birthday. The men and women who served in our military celebrated their birthday’s far from home so that we can enjoy freedom and peace of mind. Away from family and friends, they spent birthdays in harm’s way and without the parties and celebrations we enjoy. Help honor them by signing up to use your birthday to raise much needed funds for DAV. We help make it easy to use your special day to help give back and pay tribute to the sacrifices made by these special men and women.
• Fitness Fundraising: Support DAV by participating in the Victories for Veterans Challenge. Ever wanted to hike a trail, swim a mile, participate in a yoga class or even run a 10K? Take those ideas and turn them into goals! Join our Victories for Veterans Challenge — set a goal, challenge yourself, and fundraise for America’s veterans just like you would an average 5K run/walk. You will help fuel services that connect veterans to the health care, education, and financial benefits they’ve earned through their sacrifice for our country. Every victory created and every dollar raised goes towards DAV‘s free services that help over a million veterans in life-changing ways every year.
• Vehicle Donation: Turn your used car or boat into a charitable contribution to help disabled veterans. Help the brave men and women who served by donating any car, truck, RV or boat—and you could qualify for a tax deduction at the same time. Donating is a great way to get rid of an old or extra vehicle. The process is easy and we provide free and convenient pick-up. Turn your vehicle into resources that help ensure our nation’s heroes have the opportunity to enjoy the freedoms their sacrifices have made possible.
• Matching Gifts: Did you know that over 1,000 companies match gifts made by their employees? Learn more.
• Gift Planning: Leave a legacy of caring by including DAV in your estate and financial plans. When you include Disabled American Veterans in your estate plan, your generosity helps us empower veterans to lead high-quality lives with respect and dignity. • Stock Gifts: Stocks or securities that have increased in value and been held for more than one year are popular assets to use when making a gift to DAV (Disabled American Veterans). Making a gift of stocks or securities offers you the chance to support our work while realizing important benefits for yourself.
• DAV 5K: The DAV 5K is a walk, roll, run, and ride that thanks those who served and raises awareness of the issues our ill and injured veterans face every day. Join us in keeping our promise to America’s veterans! There are two ways to participate, join us in-person in Cincinnati or virtually from anywhere.
• Face-to-Face Fundraising: Since the Fall of 2021, DAV has been executing canvassing campaigns in the Tampa, FL, Nashville, TN, Ft. Lauderdale, FL, San Antonio, TX, San Diego, CA, and Cincinnati, OH / Northern Kentucky markets. Each year DAV expands their reach and adds new markets. The teams also make road trips throughout the year to many other markets. The canvassing teams execute a boots-on-the-ground program outside of retail establishments to share information about how DAV supports our nation’s disabled veterans. They also share that by donating monthly, individuals can become DAV Honor Guard members and contribute to ensuring our nation’s heroes receive the benefits they have earned.
• Field of Flags: DAV’s Field of Flags empowers our community to set up fields of American flags, all to honor local veterans and raise critical funds to support our ill and injured heroes.  Each flag in the Field of Flags honors a different hero. Behind each flag is a unique story — a story about courage and freedom. A story about sacrifice. A story worth honoring.
• Corporate Partnerships: Join DAV in supporting our nation’s injured veterans who sacrificed so much to protect us. As a fully tax deductible charity, DAV receives no federal funding, making our partners all the more vital to our mission. We offer a variety of engagement opportunities to meet your company’s marketing, philanthropic, and corporate social responsibility goals. DAV can partner with you to fulfill your objectives and can scale with your organization, whether nationally or regionally focused. And most of all, you can trust your partnership will be impactful because every $1 donated to DAV results in $40 of direct benefits for our veterans.
• Qualified Charitable Distributions/IRARollover Gifts
• Real Estate Donation: Donating real estate to support DAV and veterans is fast and easy! The proceeds from your property donation allow DAV to continue providing lifetime support for veterans of all generations and their families. Our program takes any property type (land, homes, commercial) in any location so long as there is equity. Even if you owe back taxes, have a mortgage balance or have deferred maintenance, it’s no problem. We will pay off all loans, liens, commissions owed and all closing costs. If you have a real estate asset that is costing you money or not being utilized, donating it is a great way to give back. You may even claim a significant tax deduction!
• Commemorative Brick: Reserve a commemorative brick in DAV’s Honor Garden for a veteran or someone in your life. DAV now offers a great new way to demonstrate your support of America’s veterans in a special and permanent way. You now have the opportunity to purchase a commemorative brick which can be inscribed in honor or in memory of a veteran of your choosing, featuring their name and service branch, or you can etch your brick with an everlasting message of tribute to all of our nation’s heroes. You can also recognize a dedicated DAV volunteer or Auxiliary member or someone special in your life. The bricks will line the Honor Garden walkways, at DAV’s national headquarters, serving as a living monument to the courage and sacrifice of our nation’s veterans. This garden will be a sacred place for reflection and will daily remind veterans, families and those who support them of our purpose and mission. Volunteer: DAV offers a wide range of opportunities to assist our nation’s heroes. Volunteer to transport veterans to and from their VA medical appointments, help at a VA facility or assist veterans in your local community.  No matter who you are, or what your level of experience, you can stand by our nation’s veterans.
