Be a DONOR: Show that you care…

Direct Relief exists for the simple, humanitarian purpose of helping people whose health and lives are threatened by poverty, endemic diseases, natural disasters, or civil conflict — and thanks entirely to the generosity of individuals, foundations, and businesses.

  • Individual Giving: Everything Direct Relief does, every person whose life is saved or improved, stems from an act of generosity that’s purely voluntary. You don’t have to donate. That’s why it’s so extraordinary when you do. One-time Donations of any amount are requested and enhanced options include Monthly and,* Tribute.
  • Planned Giving: Direct Relief’s commitment to continue its work in the future requires planning and preparation. Some of Direct Relief’s supporters have committed to ensuring that the organization has the financial resources it will need in the future by including a bequest in their will or trust, or by providing for another form of future gift upon their passing. When you notify Direct Relief that you have included a gift to the organization in your estate plan you become an honored member of Direct Relief’s Legacy Society. By notifying the organization of your decision, you will help ensure that your gift is properly recognized when received.

  • Donate Stock or Mutual Funds: Contributing stocks, bonds, mutual funds, or other securities to Direct Relief helps deliver humanitarian medical resources where they are needed most. There might also be valuable tax benefits to you if you donate securities that have appreciated.
  • Donate a gift from your IRA: When you take a distribution from your Individual Retirement Account (IRA), you might owe taxes on it. If money from your IRA is donated directly to a qualified charity like Direct Relief, you might save on taxes, and you will help people who are vulnerable and at-risk get access to needed medical care.
  • Donate from Your Donor Advised Fund (DAF): As a 501(c)(3) charity, Direct Relief is qualified to receive grants from donor advised funds (DAFs). At the time you contribute to your DAF you receive any available tax benefits for the tax year to which the contribution applies. You can donate from your donor advised fund to Direct Relief by recommending a grant through your fund administrator.
  • Donate a Vehicle: Donate a vehicle to Direct Relief and improve the health and lives of people affected by poverty or emergencies. Your car donation to Direct Relief makes a real difference, providing the crucial support we need to help those we serve.
  • Donate Cryptocurrency or NFTs: Give now to make an impact right away. Direct Relief accepts donations of cryptocurrency such as Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), Amp (AMP), Basic Attention Token (BAT), Bitcoin Cash (BCH), ChainLink (LINK), Dai (DAI), Dogecoin (DOGE), The Graph (GRT), Gemini Dollar (GUSD), Litecoin (LTC), Storj (STORJ), UMA (UMA), Zcash (ZEC), 0x (ZRX), 1inch (1INCH). If your cryptocurrency has grown in value, ask a tax professional whether you would benefit from donating it tax-free to Direct Relief.
