Where Your Special Event Becomes a Work of Art! Currier Museum of Art in Manchester, NH is one of the region’s most exceptional and unique spaces to hold your special event. The breathtaking Currier setting and meticulous planning of our Events team guarantees an event experience like no other. The Currier Museum of Art provides a refined and sophisticated environment; ideal for an exceptional array of events including: * corporate meetings * cocktail receptions * business lunches * fundraising functions * wedding ceremonies * receptions, and * holiday parties. All rentals include security, custodial staff, on-site day-of event manager, ample free parking, and access to all galleries for the first hour of your event. Arrangements can also be made to provide guided tours of current exhibitions or to have the museum shop open especially for you.
The Currier Winter Garden Atrium can accommodate up to 200 guests for a cocktail style reception or 120 guests seated with a buffet set-up and dance floor. Capacities can vary based on set-up needs and style of reception.

The light-filled Winter Garden Café is the perfect spot for coffee, lunch, or a glass of wine. Menu selections include fresh salads, seasonal soups and sandwiches and fresh baked pastries. Enjoy a special brunch menu including mimosa flights on Sundays starting at 10 am. Experience Art After Work every Thursday from 5 to 8 pm, featuring free gallery access + exhibition tours, live music, a full menu in the Winter Garden Café and drink specials. Members receive 10% off purchases in the café (excluding alcoholic beverages and tax).

Becoming a member of the Currier Museum means special access: see exhibitions first, receive invitations to special events, and learn about art behind the scenes.   • Give to the Annual Fund: Your Annual Fund gift enables the Currier Museum of Art to share world-class art, educational offerings, and programs that benefit our community. The unrestricted Annual Fund enables the museum to deliver diverse exhibitions and comprehensive public programs. The Annual Fund supports our comprehensive social impact programs, including those for families of opioid sufferers, combat veterans, and Alzheimer’s patients. Your Annual Fund gift enhances the experience of the 60,000 guests who visit annually, including nearly 10,000 K through 12 students. It further supports our art center and gallery programs for students of low-income households. The strength of the Currier Museum in the community depends on your Annual Fund gift.
  • Currier Society: Donors who support the mission of the Currier Museum of Art with a gift of $1,500 or more will be granted access to the special events and privileges of the Currier Society. As the museum’s key ambassadors, Currier Society members enjoy insider access, from behind-the-scenes tours with curators to distinctive special events. By providing meaningful support, the Currier Society enables the museum to present special exhibitions, provide free programs for our community, and strengthen our collections.
  • Planned Giving: Remember the Currier Museum of Art in your long-term plans through a bequest in your will or trust, or through a charitable gift annuity.   • Tomie dePaola Art Education Fund: In honor of a treasured New Hampshire artist, the Currier Museum of Art has established The Tomie dePaola Art Education Fund to support art education for young people. Art is an important avenue of discovery and growth, as Tomie himself found. Tomie had a great affinity for bringing art to children of all backgrounds, a mission shared by the Currier Museum Art Center. The Currier Museum proudly exhibited Tomie’s work in 2018 and this fund will be a sustainable memorial to the artist.
  • Art and Wellness Programs Fund: The Currier Museum of Art connects people with art. To make a difference in our diverse community, the museum creates impactful programs that serve the needs of communities in greatest need today. We believe that art can inspire, bring people together, and create a better, more inclusive society. Please help us make a difference in our community through the transformative power of art.
  • Chandler House Restoration Fund: The Currier Museum of Art is renovating the George Byron Chandler House, an architectural treasure from the late 19th century that sits across the street from the museum. The main floor of the house preserves impressive stained glass windows, original wallpaper, and fine wood carving. These areas will be open the public as an expansion of the museum, specifically to represent New Hampshire in the 19th century. We need your help to renovate this beautiful home to its original glory. The Currier Museum of Art aims to raise over $2 million dollars in order to support the work ahead, and also develop an endowment for future upkeep and maintenance, public access, outreach, and education programs. Help us save this historically and architecturally significant building for generations to come by making your gift today.
  • Frank Lloyd Wright Preservation Fund: The Currier Museum is the singular art museum in the world with two Frank Lloyd Wright houses. Accessible by guided tour, they are the only Wright buildings open to the public in New England. The Usonian Automatic and the Zimmerman House express two equally beautiful visions through their closely related designs and contrasting materials. The Currier is committed to preserving these distinctive, mid-century architectural gems and making them accessible for visitors of all ages. Volunteer:  The Guild of Volunteers supports the mission of the Currier Museum of Art by giving time and talent. By participating in programs and projects, volunteers inspire active public participation and strengthen the museum’s presence in the community. Volunteers assist staff with a variety of tasks, including leading tours, supporting educational programs, performing administrative tasks, conducting curatorial research, and helping in the library, shop, and café. The museum trains volunteers to lead public tours for our diverse audiences. Docents facilitate looking and interactive discussions in the collection, special exhibitions, the Frank Lloyd Wright houses, and special programs. Docents are trained to use flexible approaches that consider the interests, backgrounds, and abilities of all visitors.

Internships: The Currier Museum of Art is committed to building a culturally diverse profession in museums, art, and art history. It offers paid internships to introduce critical skills for undergraduate and graduate students selected through open application. However, we are not currently accepting applications at this time. Interns will assist with the day-to-day operations of an art museum and collaborate on interdepartmental projects. Internships provide students with a broad range of immersive experiences and are appropriate for those studying art history, museum studies, education, marketing, fundraising, human resources, and event management. Internships include close supervision and mentoring, with the goal of helping students develop their professional identity.
