Support the Computer History Museum. Your tax-deductible gift provides general operating support for exhibits, events, and educational programming. • Give Online: Make your gift today! The easiest way to support CHM is by making an online gift. Donations at specified amounts are designated or you may customize your gifts. You may donate on behalf of a business, organization, or in memory, honor, or tribute to a special person or occasion. Recurring gifts are greatly appreciated. Employer matched gifts are welcomed.
• Estate and Gift Planning: Making a planned gift—whether by including a bequest to the Museum in your will or by naming CHM as the beneficiary of a charitable remainder trust, life insurance policy, or retirement fund—provides essential support for the Museum’s future. Planned gifts can offer significant tax advantages and in some cases generate lifetime income for you or your chosen beneficiary.
• Stock Gift Donations: The Museum welcomes gifts of stock. Securities can be transferred directly to the Museum’s stock transfer plan.

We offer dynamic in-person and digital experiences through our exhibits and events and access to our unparalleled collection in a unique online portal. Donate an Artifact: Thank you for considering CHM as the repository for your historical materials. CHM values our artifact donors and your efforts to contact us. The information you provide on our online donation form will be used by the Donation Review Team to evaluate your generous offer. Please provide as much information as possible, as it will speed the review process and allow us to accommodate your offer most efficiently. Completing the form is the quickest way to get in touch with the Donation Review Team. CHM does not accept materials that are deposited at the Museum without prior acceptance by the Donation Review Team. Donation offers made by phone are discouraged and take longer to process. Please note that on average, only 20% of donation offers are accepted into CHM’s artifact collection.CHM greatly appreciates your time, generosity, and commitment to preserving computer history.

Volunteer: Volunteers are at the heart of CHM, supporting nearly every department across the Museum. Their enthusiasm, curiosity, and dedication help bring the stories of computing to life for visitors of all ages. The CHM Volunteer Program offers flexible entry points, training levels, and time commitments, making it easy to get involved. Whether you’re looking to learn something new, to share your skills, or be part of a vibrant community, there’s a meaningful role waiting for you. Volunteers must be 18 or older, able to pass a criminal background check, and willing to commit to the scheduling requirements associated with their volunteer role. Scope of needs: * Docents * Demonstrators * Visitor Engagement * Special Projects, and  * Collections & Archives.
