Donations: Your support is also vital to our community outreach. Recent data shows the area in which the Anne Spencer House & Garden Museum is located, is in the highest concentrated area of poverty within the City of Lynchburg. During the early 20th-century the Pierce Street neighborhood was home to well respected, working-class and upper middle-class people who worked in the surrounding mills, schools, and businesses. In addition, several outstanding individuals made national and international history in the fields of education, arts, aviation, health, and sports.
