Donations:

More than 34 million Americans are in the fight of their lives against diabetes. Whether you’re fighting diabetes yourself or on behalf of a loved one, you’ve come to the right place. Your donations are critical in helping us.

  • One-Time Gifts: Become an ally in the fight.
  • Monthly Giving: Your recurring gifts can help us continue to fight harder than ever.
  • Corporate Giving: Give more to get more. Giving to the American Diabetes Association (ADA) not only accelerates critical research, it helps boost employee morale. Sure, it’s tax-deductible, but the benefits go far beyond that.
  • Start a Fundraiser: Make a difference with a unique event. Have a yard sale, celebrate a milestone, or honor a loved one.
  • Car Donation: Your vehicle donation to the ADA is free, convenient, and tax-deductible. Plus, you’ll feel good knowing that your donation will help the ADA accomplish its mission: to prevent and cure diabetes and to improve the lives of all people affected by diabetes. The ADA works with a reputable car donation program, CARS (Charitable Adult Rides & Services), that will make all the arrangements to conveniently and quickly pick up your car donation at no cost to you. They will provide you with a tax-deductible donation receipt when they pick up your car and support you throughout the entire donation process.
  • AmazonSmile: When you shop at smile.amazon.com, you’ll find the exact same prices, selection and shopping experience as Amazon.com, with the added bonus that Amazon will donate 0.5% of your purchases back to the ADA.
  • The 1940 Leadership Giving Society: A vital group of committed donors, the 1940 Leadership Giving Society sustains the American Diabetes Association and helps people with diabetes thrive while searching for a cure.
  • Planned Giving: Legacy for life. By investing in the ADA, you are advancing current research efforts with an end goal of a world free of diabetes and all its burdens. Make a lasting impact by including a provision in your will or estate plans. The American Diabetes Association is grateful to be included in our supporters’ estate plans after they have first provided for their loved ones.
    • Charitable Gift Annuities: A charitable gift annuity is a simple contract between you and the ADA. In exchange for your gift of cash or other assets – guaranteed, regular fixed distributions are made to you for your lifetime.
    • Retirement Plan Gifts: If you have a traditional IRA, you can make gifts to the American Diabetes Association using funds that might otherwise be taxed and can be withdrawn (up to a total of $100,000 per individual per year or $200,000 per couple with separate IRAs). You can ensure 100% of your contribution will support diabetes research by designating your gift as such.
    • Giving Through a Will, Living Trust, and Other Plans: In addition to fulfilling an important role in providing for the future financial security of your family and others, your will or living trust can offer a way to make thoughtful charitable gifts to charitable interests as part of your long-range estate and financial plans. It can be satisfying to know that a portion of your property will continue to fund your charitable priorities in the future.
    • Gifts of Stock or Securities: Stocks, mutual funds, and other securities can be given directly to ADA.
    • Donor-Advised Funds (DAF): If you have a Donor-Advised Fund (DAF), consider recommending a grant from your fund to the ADA. You may be able to direct your grant to a particular area of interest: research, advocacy, or education and camp. You may also choose to designate the ADA as a beneficiary of a final grant so that funds remaining in your DAF after your lifetime can be distributed to honor your wishes.
    • Individual Retirement Accounts (IRA) Distributions: If you are 70½ years old or older, you can take advantage of a smart way to benefit the ADA and receive tax benefits in return. You can give up to $100,000 from your IRA directly to a qualified charity without having to pay income taxes on the money.
    • A Gift That Pays (Life Income Agreements): There’s a way for you to support the ADA and feel confident that you have dependable income in your retirement years. You can do this with a charitable gift annuity. By establishing a life income gift, you can secure fixed annual payments for your lifetime while supporting the future work of the ADA. The payments are determined by your age at the time of your contribution and flexibility of your timing.
    • Giving Real Estate: Contributions of real property represent one of the most complicated yet rewarding opportunities in charitable gift planning.
  • Hilton HHonors: Donate your Hilton points and make a contribution! The ADA is a charity partner in the Hilton HHonors “Give Back Program”. If you are a Hilton HHonors member, you can choose to give HHonors loyalty points to the ADA and a contribution will be made.
  • SurveyMonkey: You can help simply by taking online surveys. Yes, it’s really that easy! Since 2014, SurveyMonkey has supported the ADA through SurveyMonkey Contribute. Sign up to be a panel member on Contribute, and you will receive surveys from SurveyMonkey customers who need your opinion. For every survey you take, SurveyMonkey will donate $0.50 to ADA.
  • Primal Wear: Primal Custom team jerseys that give back. As a national sponsor of the Tour de Cure® since 2012, Primal is committed to raising more money to Stop Diabetes® through the power of two wheels. Literally wear your cause on your sleeve and support the movement with a customized Tour de Cure team jersey. When you order custom team jerseys through Primal, 15% of the purchase total will be donated directly to the Tour de Cure team fundraising effort to benefit the ADA.

Volunteer: Make your time count. Join hundreds of thousands of American Diabetes Association (ADA) volunteers who are making a difference through community outreach, advocacy and plain old inspiration. Everyone has different interests and skills, not to mention schedules. Find the spot that works best for you, whether it’s supporting an event, working at a local office, taking part in a school or community campaign or becoming a virtual volunteer.
