The American Cancer Society is a nationwide, community-based voluntary health organization dedicated to eliminating cancer as a major health problem. Our Global Headquarters are located in Atlanta, Georgia, and we have regional and local offices throughout the country to ensure we have a presence in every community.

We research cancer and its causes to find more answers and better treatments. We fight for lifesaving policy changes. We provide everything from emotional support to the latest cancer information for those who have been touched by cancer. And we do it all 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Be a DONOR: Show that you care…

Save the programs that save lives.

Donations:

Donate today to ensure cancer patients, survivors and caregivers continue to get the support they need. Specified amounts are designated or you may give an amount of your choice. Monthly gifts are encouraged and you may considering donation as an honor or memorial gift in honor of someone important to you. Donate by Mail or Phone: The American Cancer Society’s National Cancer Information Center is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to help those touched by cancer. We can also take your donation over the phone or by mail.

  • Combined Federal Campaign: If you’re a federal employee, learn how to make the American Cancer Society your charity of choice in the Combined Federal Campaign. Help fight cancer on every front.
  • Donate Your Car: One out of three people will face a cancer diagnosis in their lifetime. Rather than selling or trading in your used car, truck, SUV, motorcycle, RV, or boat on a trailer, consider donating it to the American Cancer Society. Your car donation will help save lives that might otherwise be lost to the disease by funding lifesaving cancer research, education, advocacy, and free patient service programs.
  • Planned Giving: With a planned gift to the American Cancer Society, you can combine your desire to give to charity with your overall financial, tax, and estate planning goals. Planned giving gives you a special connection with the Society. You will help those touched by cancer – for now and for years to come. There are different kinds of bequests. For each, you must use very specific language to indicate the precise direction of your assets, and to successfully carry out your final wishes. The American Cancer Society provides examples of how to indicate a general or undesignated gift to the American Cancer Society.
  • Leadership Giving: Learn how to contribute to the American Cancer Society and the impact that leadership level gifts can make in the fight against cancer.
  • Laureate Society: The American Cancer Society Laureate Society recognizes major contributors in our mission to save lives from cancer. This nationwide program honors individuals and family foundations that significantly invest in helping free the world from the pain and suffering of cancer. Together, with the support of our Laureate Society members, we will continue advocating for lifesaving change, honoring loved ones, funding groundbreaking research, and delivering vital patient services. By turning what we know about cancer into what we do about it, we are working to save more lives around the world. We hope you’ll join us.
  • Donor Advised Fund: Help us save lives and celebrate lives by creating a philanthropic legacy through the American Cancer Society Donor Advised Fund (DAF). The American Cancer Society Donor Advised Fund allows you to combine the most favorable tax benefits with the flexibility to easily support the American Cancer Society or your favorite charities.
  • IRA Charitable Rollover: If you are age 70 ½ or older, use your traditional IRA as a simple way to reduce your tax liability and make your charitable gifts.
  • Fundraise: American Cancer Society fundraising events are inspiring and uplifting ways to save lives wherever you are. From black-tie galas to full-length marathons, we have an event that will suit your interests as we work together to free the world from cancer.
  • American Cancer Society Discovery Shops: Help support the fight against cancer through the purchase of high quality, gently used, donated merchandise.
  • Matching Gifts: Many employers sponsor matching gift programs and will match any charitable contributions or volunteer hours completed by their employees.
  • Gifts of Securities: A gift of appreciated securities held for more than one year may provide significant benefits to you as a contributor.
  • Cryptocurrency Donations: Donating cryptocurrency directly to the American Cancer Society is more tax efficient than donating cash and can save you money. It is a non-taxable event, meaning you do not owe capital gains tax on the appreciated amount and can deduct it on your taxes. That means you’re able to donate more to charity, as well as deduct more on your tax return. The difference? Sometimes more than 30%.
  • Skillz Fundraising Tournaments: The American Cancer Society (ACS) and Skillz have teamed up to bring you mobile gaming tournaments that raise funds to save lives and fight for a world without cancer.

Advocate: ACS CAN is the nonprofit, nonpartisan advocacy affiliate of the American Cancer Society, supports evidence-based policy and legislative solutions designed to eliminate cancer as a major health problem. ACS CAN works to encourage elected officials and candidates to make cancer a top national priority. ACS CAN gives ordinary people extraordinary power to fight cancer with the training and tools they need to make their voices heard.

Volunteer: As an American Cancer Society volunteer, you can honor a survivor or a loved one lost to cancer, help save the lives of people in your local community, and around the world.
