• Genworth Education Center: Looking for a large venue that allows you to create a one-of-a-kind event? Rent Amazement Square’s Education Center! This venue is ideal for groups wishing to host a: * wedding reception * reunion * retreat * concert, or * party. Comfortably hold a formal, sit-down dinner with a stage, dance area and bar, or utilize the great open space for a concert or dance. The Genworth Education Center is extremely flexible to fit the needs of your event. Design your layout, be creative with decorations, and hire the caterer, band, or DJ of your choice.
• Room Rentals: Take your next luncheon, meeting or seminar out of the office! Host your next event Amazement Square. Whether it is a: * presentation * workshop * retreat or * meeting, the museum offers great spaces with amenities to fit your needs.
• After-Hours Museum Rental: Enjoy a unique and playful setting for your next event! Rent the museum to enjoy private access to the fun, interactive exhibits while hosting a: * one-of-a-kind wedding reception * reunion * retreat, or * party. The four floors of the museum can accommodate up to 400 people as well as any caterer, band, or DJ.
• Buggy Business: Team Building: Designed for adults and young-at-heart groups, Buggy Business workshops turn museum exhibits into a collaborative team-building experience: * 2-hour guided workshop * Held after normal operating hours * Great for businesses, student groups, churches, and retreats.

Café Amaze hosts a selection of unique and educational merchandise carefully selected to keep families learning long after a visit to the museum. Items inspired by our exhibitions will spark hours of creative play for children of all ages. With learning at the core of all we do, we have made sure that it’s easy for children to shop. All prices include tax, making it simple for children to practice their counting, addition, and budgeting skills.

Be a DONOR: Show that you care…

As a nonprofit educational organization, Amazement Square depends on contributions from donors like you to provide the children and families of our region with enriching educational experiences that inspire creativity and curiosity. Your gift helps to cover essential operating expenses like program supplies, exhibits and public programs, school programs for low-income students, outreach to schools, maintenance of our award-winning facilities, and much more.

Membership:

The value of a membership is used within THREE visits to the museum! Check out all of the other amazing benefits you get when you become a member. Benefits include discounts on WonderCamps, discounts on birthdays, discounts on rentals, and discounts in our Café Amaze shop.  Membership at specified levels is offered: * Value, and * Supporting Patron. * Gift memberships are encouraged.

Donations:

We depend on contributions from donors like you to accomplish our mission! For as little as $25 you can provide SOL based programming for a student, sponsor a scholarship for a local youth to attend a summer workshop, or sponsor a family to attend the museum who would not otherwise be able to visit. Tributary donations and matched gifts are encouraged. Donations Levels include: * Butterfly * Ante Bug * Scorpy Bug * Ladybug * Lightning Bug * Honeybee, and an * amount of your choice. Donations can become a meaningful way to to honor loved ones’ memories.

• Corporate Giving: Each year, Amazement Square serves more than 90,000 visitors and members of our community and has been recognized as one of the nation’s best hands-on children’s museums. A vital component of this success has been the support generated through our Corporate Partnership Program. By supporting Amazement Square, your organization can help provide our region with a resource for early-childhood education and cultural enrichment, and help make Central Virginia a great place to live, work and do business. Amazement Square’s Corporate Partnership Program supports all facets of the museum’s educational mission, which directly benefits the children and families of our community.
• Gifts of Stock: Your broker can assist you in making a gift of stock via a direct transfer to Amazement Square. Giving a gift of publicly traded stock that has increased in value and that you have owned for more than one year may provide greater tax benefits than giving cash. Your charitable income tax deduction is equal to the fair market value of the stock and you avoid paying the capital gains tax on any increase in the current value over the original cost of the stock. You may also save by not incurring brokerage fees because you are transferring ownership rather than selling the stock.
