The Museum of Nebraska Art is the perfect place to hold your event! Our Founders Gallery is available to rent during the day or after Museum Hours for public or private events and gatherings. This beautiful space can be rented for up to 5 hours at a time and includes use of our tables, chairs, audio and visual equipment and kitchen.

Legacy Events coordinates and facilitates all events at the Museum, ensuring that each gathering runs smoothly and meets our high standards of excellence. From planning logistics and managing vendors to overseeing event setup and execution, their team handles every detail with professionalism and care. Whether you’re organizing a private function, public program, or special celebration, Legacy Events is your primary point of contact for events at the Museum of Nebraska Art.

MONA collects, preserves, researches, exhibits, and interprets the work of artists who were born, lived, trained, or worked in Nebraska or who created artworks that reflect the culture of Nebraska. For more than 45 years we have been able to fulfill this mission because of the support of dedicated individuals and organizations that share our passion for Nebraska art and artists.

Please help support our mission! The Museum of Nebraska Art is a nonprofit organization and your donations are tax deductible. Donations at specified amounts are designated or you may customize your gifts. Recurring gifts are greatly appreciated. Your generous support through an unrestricted gift is critical to help us:

• Build an art collection of national significance that reflects Nebraska’s unique cultural history.
• Nurture Nebraska’s creative community by presenting exhibitions by some of the best Nebraska artists.

A memorial or tribute gift is a thoughtful way to honor family or friends. When you make a memorial or tribute gift, a personalized card is sent to the individual, family, or organization being honored. You also receive a letter acknowledging your gift to MONA. Your membership supports everything we do! The Museum of Nebraska Art is Nebraska’s cultural and artistic center. MONA is the only museum where you can immerse yourself in an unmatched collection of uniquely Nebraskan art, explore a historic post office with landmark neoclassical architecture, and cultivate your creativity in a modern, sustainable expansion featuring ever-changing exhibitions, interactive studios, and maker spaces – all for free.

Joining the Museum of Nebraska Art not only supports the museum, but entitles you to exclusive benefits. Some general benefits include advanced notice of events, discounts on classes and in our museum shop, and periodic updates and newsletters. We offer seven levels of general membership: * Student * Individual Senior * Veteran/Military * Young Patron * Individual * Dual Senior, and * Household. Premium memberships receive all the general membership benefits listed above, plus North American Reciprocal Museums (NARM) membership, public recognition, and a variety of additional benefits depending on level of support. Bison Society

Beginning shortly after the turn of the 19th century, Nebraska Territory became the gateway to the American West, attracting countless European explorers into the vast and exotic land of the Great Plains. The artists who accompanied these expeditions were inspired by the landscape, the wildlife, and the culture of the Native Americans they encountered in what to them was a new world. Using sketches and studies made on the trail, the famous artists of the day returned to their studios to create works now on exhibit in museums across America.

The MONA Bison Society is dedicated to inspiring a deep understanding of life in 19th century Nebraska by furthering research into this important era of American artistic discovery and revelation. Your membership provides support to the Museum of Nebraska Art’s efforts to research the lives of 19th century artist explorers and Native Americans, to acquire, preserve, exhibit, and interpret the work of these artists for the benefit of Nebraskans and Nebraska visitors now, and for generations to come. We invite you to join the MONA Bison Society and to support our mission to celebrate Nebraska’s rich artistic heritage. 

Organizational Giving & Partnerships

Sponsorship

Exhibitions: Select an exhibition to sponsor that aligns with your brand. Sponsorship options are built around the duration and scope of the exhibition. Exhibition sponsorships start at $5,000 and are an opportunity to make a significant statement about your organization’s support of the arts.

Educational Programs: Each year, MONA hosts a wide range of programs and events for audiences of all ages, interests, and abilities. Sponsorship of MONA’s educational activities helps us defray the costs of these activities, enabling us to offer free or low-cost programs.

Matching Gifts and Worksite Giving

Many employers sponsor matching gift programs to encourage employees to contribute to nonprofit organizations. Most programs match contributions dollar for dollar, increasing the impact and benefit of your donation to MONA.
