Deconstruction & Structural Removal

We offer a full-service environmentally-friendly option for structural removal, including brick and concrete, leaving a rake-clean site upon completion. This service includes historic research and documentation of the structure for our online archive, Re:Purpose Neighborhood.

Consulting

Re:Purpose offers a wide range of consulting services. Whether you are eager to train your workforce in structural removal, looking for wisdom on how to start a reuse hub, or are interested in material preservation — we’ve got you covered. Our team of experts is ready to help you successfully enter the deconstruction industry.

• Re:Purpose Savannah is proud to be a federally recognized Registered Apprenticeship Program, one of the first organizations in the US to provide an apprenticeship for a certified Deconstruction Technician. Partnering on the Apprenticeship Collaboration provides much needed assistance to Re:Purpose to directly aid the apprentices during their two year journey.

• Donate Your Time: We are a small crew and depend on our volunteers for support to keep historic Savannah out of the landfill. We have volunteer opportunities that include denailing old growth wood, processing historic doors, and supporting us at community events. We work with individuals, private groups, corporate organizations, those 18+, and supervised minors. Come learn valuable new skills and make some great new friends!
• Volunteer – Spend Time with Us: As a non-profit we rely heavily on community involvement. There are a handful of ways you can become involved with our mission. If you would like to volunteer with us individually, as a group, or if there is a special skill you are wanting to lend us, give us a holler!
  • No experience necessary: We work with individuals, private groups, corporate organizations, those 18+, and supervised minors. Come learn valuable new skills and make some great new friends!
  • We provide equipment for you at our lumber yard at: 2302 E Gwinnett St, Savannah GA. We provide water and PPE (hands, eyes, ears) – just bring a water bottle and snacks.
