Renowned marine life artist Wyland changed the way people think about our ocean when he started painting life-size whales on the sides of buildings more than three decades ago. Since that time, Wyland and the foundation that bears his name have inspired millions of people to become more caring, informed caretakers of our ocean, lakes, rivers, streams, and wetlands. • Matching Gifts: Companies of all sizes match donations their employees make to charitable organizations to support good work in the community. By simply completing a form with your employer, you may be able to double the impact of your gift to the Wyland Foundation.
• Grants: The Foundation has many art, science, and environmental outreach programs that may be eligible for private and public grants. If you are a member of a grant-making organization with interests in marine conservation, arts, and environmental education, please contact us for information about any of the Wyland Foundation’s programs.
• Legacy Giving: Many people want to do more for clean water and healthy oceans by including a gift in their will or estate plan. Legacy gifts are simple to structure and are often revocable. • Corporate sponsorships: Corporate sponsorships with the Wyland Foundation are designed to be mutually beneficial and impactful to our shared goals for clean water and healthy oceans for future generations. Corporate partners like Toyota, Disney, KCAL/ KCBS, and the Toro Company have been longtime supporters. Corporate partnerships are customizable and have a minimum cash contribution requirement of $25,000.
• Automatic Monthly Giving: A great way you can help support our efforts for clean water and healthy oceans is to make an automatic monthly gift online. Your tax deductible contribution may be relatively small each month, but even a small amount support adds up to give the foundation the ongoing income we depend on to inspire thousands of children, families, and communities.Tax Benefits your donations to the Wyland Foundation may be tax deductible. The Wyland Foundation provides a receipt for your you to use for your tax records, including your name, address, contribution date, and contribution amount. Please consult your Tax Advisor for the full extent of your tax deduction. The Wyland Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.
