Be a DONOR: Show that you care…

WheatonArts is a nonprofit organization that is supported by individual, foundation, corporate, and public support for general operations and programming. None, however, is more crucial to our success than individual contributions. Your generous donations and memberships help us to keep general admission and ticket prices at affordable levels that make the arts accessible to everyone in our community. Donations also help fund new art classes for children and adults, build and renovate facilities, provide fellowships for talented artists, and help provide an array of arts programs and performances for K-12 students in the region. While there are many ways to give, your donations in any amount are truly appreciated.

Donations:

Give to the Annual Fund: The Annual Fund helps to cover the expenses of many areas of WheatonArts, including the care and conservation of our Museum collection, exhibitions, school tours and public programs, Glass Studio and Folklife Program operations as well as electric and fuel charges, grounds maintenance and much more. In our fifth decade of serving the community and providing access to the arts for thousands each year, contributions from our supporters help sustain our organization. Your 100% tax-deductible donation will help ensure a successful and vital future for the Wheaton Arts and Cultural Center. Every gift makes a difference! Donations at specified amounts are designated or you may customize your gifts. You may donate on behalf of a business, organization, or in memory, honor, or tribute to a special person or occasion.

  • Gifts of Stock: Gifts of appreciated securities (stocks, bonds, or mutual funds held for more than one year) are excellent ways to support WheatonArts. Such gifts are easy to make and may provide a more significant tax benefit than an equivalent gift in cash.
  • Legacy Gifts: Contributions from individuals will play an increasingly vital role in shaping our next 50 years. You can create an enduring legacy by remembering WheatonArts in your will. Regardless of your estate size, a bequest is one of the simplest ways to personally make a difference in the future of WheatonArts. When making a bequest, please inform us of your plans, as it is helpful for many reasons. First, it will help us to use your gift precisely as intended. Second, it allows WheatonArts to make a note of your gift as we plan for the future. And finally, it allows WheatonArts the opportunity to honor you and show your appreciation for your planned gift.
  • Matching Gifts: Multiply the impact of your donation! Many employers will match charitable contributions from their employees, doubling the impact of your gift.
  • Program Support: Special programming and funds exist to ensure that artists, students, and the community can continue to be engaged in the creative process and the positive results it yields in enriching our lives. WheatonArts hosts a variety of programs that can be donated to directly, including general Glass Studio support, the Creative Glass Fellowship Program, the Glasstown Collective Program, and general Educational Programming.
  • Tribute and Memory Gifts: A Tribute or Memorial gift to WheatonArts is a thoughtful way to honor family or friends, celebrate a special occasion, or express sympathy on the loss of a loved one. When you make a gift in tribute or memory, a personalized acknowledgment is sent to the individual or family being honored. The size of the gift is not mentioned, but the family receives a listing of donor names and addresses for their acknowledgment.
