Donation

Thank you for considering a gift to the Naval Air Station Wildwood Aviation Museum. Your support helps us preserve history, honor veterans, and inspire future generations. You can make a donation in the way that’s most convenient for you. Whether it is the gift of a person’s time, talents, or resources, we are always grateful for donations that support our mission. (Should you wish to make a donation in memory of a loved one, we kindly request that you notify us by sending us an email.)

  • Donate an Artifact: The Museum’s collection is built on the generosity of supporters who have contributed artifacts that share the history of Historic Hangar #1, NAS Wildwood, and the men and women who served here. We collect artifacts and materials that represent the history of Naval Air Station Wildwood, southern New Jersey’s war- and home-front effort, the surrounding community, and the post-war history of Historic Hangar #1. We are also seeking military aviation materials—from aircraft components and vehicles to an aviator’s wings—as well as personal accounts connected to items in our collection. These donations assist us in educating our guests and preserving the stories tied to this historic site. Museum staff are currently working to expand our exhibits on women in the military, and there is also a need for display cases to support a variety of exhibitions. If you are unsure whether your items fall within these categories, please reach out to us.
  • Planned Giving: More than 70% of Americans give to non-profit organizations during their lifetime, but less than 8% of donors do so through their will or a charitable trust. Planned giving allows you, with the guidance of professional advisors, to designate the Naval Air Station Wildwood Aviation Museum as a beneficiary in your estate planning. This ensures your support continues to protect and share our history for years to come. If you would like to learn more about planned giving opportunities, please contact us.
  • Sponsorships: The NAS Wildwood Aviation Museum is very grateful to sponsors who help defray general operating costs or fund special programs. Museum projects funded by generous donations include: * Historic Lecture and Film Series * Educational Programming * Restoration of Historic Hangar #1 * Airfest and * More.

Volunteer: As a nonprofit organization, the NAS Wildwood Aviation Museum benefits from the support of hard-working volunteers who care about our mission. No matter how small the task, every bit of help is appreciated. Opportunities include: * Office work * Events * General maintenance * Outdoor work * Greeting visitors, and * Newsletter production.
