Make a grand entrance on our contemporary staircase in East Court, perfect for stylish and intimate gatherings. Or watch the sun set during happy hour on North Terrace, overlooking our serene Sculpture Garden. Sophisticated indoor and casual outdoor settings are perfect for entertaining your guests at: * galas * receptions * weddings * holiday parties, and life’s * milestone celebrations. Businesses enjoy our small to mid-size board rooms and event venues for: offsite * meetings * corporate retreats * networking, and * team building, or our large auditorium for * presentations. Whatever the setting, let us make your event unforgettable. Eight distinctive spaces are available:

  • Catherine A. Fusco Hall: The high ceilings and dramatic arched windows of Fusco Grand Hall make it an ideal space for elegant seated dinners or standing cocktail receptions. The Hall opens onto our main gallery spaces and overlooks the Museum’s terrace and scenic Kentmere Parkway.
    • Capacity: Reception – 175 guests / Seated Dinner – 150 guests / Seated with Dance Floor – 120 guests
  • East Court: Its chic contemporary feel is highlighted by a dramatic modern staircase. This asymmetric space adjoins multiple galleries and the Museum Gift Shop and is located directly above the DuPont Auditorium.
    • Capacity: Cocktail Reception – 125 guests / Seated – 100 guests
  • North Terrace: With a beautiful view of the Sculpture Garden, North Terrace offers outdoor space with partial shade under a modern pergola and is designed for cocktail or happy hour. Tenting can be added for larger events.
    • Capacity: Cocktail Reception – 175 guests / Seated 150 guests / Seated under Pergola – 100 guests
  • Sculpture Garden: Popular for outdoor wedding ceremonies and can be tented in the summer months for a dreamy garden party reception.
    • Capacity: Varies
  • Labyrinth: The Labyrinth, a circular one-way path in a former reservoir, provides a serene and visually exquisite location for intimate ceremonies and gatherings.
    • Capacity: 50 – 75 guests
  • Jefferson Board Room: Aadjacent to the Auditorium, this room features a large conference table seating 14 and can be re-configured into classroom style seating, crescent rounds and more. Jefferson Board Room includes an audio-visual ready mobile cart, suitable for hybrid meetings.
    • Capacity: Meeting – 60 guests
  • Thronson Board Room: Located on the second floor of the Museum’s Bank of America Education Wing, Thronson Board Room can be configured into classroom style seating, hollow square, theater-style, or rounds. Thronson Board Room includes a projector, screen, podium, microphone and whiteboard.
    • Capacity: Meeting – 60 guests
  • Auditorium: The Auditorium’s elevated stage and fixed seating are ideal for panel discussions, performances, and large presentations. Rentals include the use of our updated audio-visual equipment: a large projection screen (100” x 160”), projector, wireless microphones and speakers complete with recording capabilities and touch panel control. Small receptions can take place in a lobby immediately outside of the auditorium for no additional fee. Evening rentals of the auditorium include the use of Jefferson Board Room for no additional fee.
    • Capacity: Auditorium Style – 169 guests

  • Donations in any amounts are encouraged. Recurring gifts on a weekly, monthly, or annual basis are greatly appreciated. Donations can become a meaningful way to honor loved ones’ memories, to celebrate a special occasion, or acknowledge a milestone accomplishment.

  • Gift of Securities (Stocks, Bonds, and Mutual Funds): Gifts of securities are an effective way to minimize taxes while supporting the Delaware Art Museum. For instructions to make a direct transfer to DelArt, please contact our Advancement Officer.
  • Gift through Donor-Advised Fund: Clients of Fidelity Charitable, Schwab Charitable, and BNY Mellon Charitable Gift Fund may recommend a grant to the Delaware Art Museum through DAF Direct. If you are a client of another donor-advised fund, please contact them directly to recommend a grant to DelArt.
  • Gift through IRA Charitable Rollover: If you are 70½ or older, you may want to consider an IRA charitable rollover, which could lower the income taxes from your required annual IRA withdrawals. A transfer must be made directly from the IRA administrator to a qualified charity, including the Delaware Art Museum. Please contact your IRA plan administrator to initiate the rollover.
