KEEPSAKES, the museum shop at Brookgreen Gardens, offers a large variety of unique items for you and for your home. The artists that work with us fill our shop with one-of-a-kind * pottery * jewelry * clothing, and * art. We also have a large selection of * books for adults and children, including the Magnificent Brookgreen Storyhouse Book series, written and illustrated by staff, friends, and volunteers of Brookgreen Gardens.

Currently, we are limited to 100 items for online purchase. If someone cannot find the items they would like to purchase online, please email keepsakes@brookgreen.org and we can add the desired items (based on availability) to the online shop.

As an Eatery: Food for thought…

Brookgreen Gardens offers three dining options.

  • Harvest Restaurant located by the Rainey Galleries offers a full-service menu with inside and padio dining.
  • The Courtyard Café, located in the Wall Lowcountry Center Courtyard is open daily and offers a variety of snacks, deli sandwiches, salads, hot dogs, and cold beverages including beer, wine and soft drinks.
  • The Old Kitchen is located at the end of Live Oak Alleé and offers sandwiches, salads, desserts, beverages, and light refreshments. The porch is a great place to relax overlooking the beautiful gardens.

Membership

Membership at Brookgreen Gardens is more than you imagine!  You are invited to enjoy and share a year of amazing experiences and benefits as a member of Brookgreen Gardens. Your membership includes insider perks and rewards, including special discounts and member-only offers, and is active for an entire year from the month of your purchase.

Your membership also provides valuable support to Brookgreen’s missions, allowing us to grow our education, conservation, and preservation missions.

Memberships are offered at these levels: * Individual * Household * President’s Council * Chairman’s Council * Huntington Society, and * Atalaya Council.

Donation

Your gift enables Brookgreen Gardens to share its art and historical collections and programs with hundreds of thousands of visitors from around the world each year. There are many ways to donate to Brookgreen, and we are deeply grateful for your generosity.

  • Annual Fund
    Your fully tax-deductible gift supports Brookgreen Gardens’ mission and most pressing needs, including its gardens, educational programs, exhibitions, Lowcountry Zoo, and the care of its collections.

    • Donations in specified amounts are designate and you may customize your gifts. You may identify and underwrite efforts of your choice. You may make your donation a gift on behalf of others or on behalf of organizations. Brookgreen’s Website features a helpful “Chat With Us” feature.
  • Memorial and Tribute Gifts
    A gift in memory or in honor of a loved one will be recognized with a special Brookgreen Gardens card to notify loved ones and family members.
  • Dedication Bell
    The chime of Brookgreen Gardens‘ installation of Brookgreen Bells softly echoes through the Gardens. This installation has been donated by Harmannus van Bergen and Family. Families and friends wishing to memorialize a loved one may consider sponsoring one of sixteen total bells. Dedication inscriptions will be displayed on a nearby plaque that will stand in recognition of donors and their loved ones. The Brookgreen Gardens Bells provide special recognition and add a pleasant element of joyful sound for the thousands of visitors to the Gardens each year.
  • Dedication Bench 
    A Brookgreen Gardens Dedication Bench offers a lasting tribute and a place of rest and reflection for Gardens’ visitors. This 8-foot, enameled steel reading bench includes a solid bronze plaque with up to five lines of your inscribed text noting special recognition. The bench can be placed in an available location of the donor’s choosing.
  • Arboretum Tree Gifting Program
    Honor and remember a loved one by gifting a new tree to complete the Arboretum’s unique oak collection or name a majestic tree of excellent health already growing in the Arboretum, at the heart of Brookgreen Gardens. Your gift will include the planting of new trees, care and maintenance for the life of the tree, and an engraved bronze plaque noting special recognition.
  • Brick or Paver
    Commemorative bricks and pavers are used to cover the entrance at the Lowcountry Zoo. Two sizes are available: 1) a traditional 4″ X 8″ brick that accommodates 1-3 lines of engraved text or 2) a larger 8″ X 8″ paver that accommodates 1-6 lines of engraved text.
  • Curator’s Circle
    Our Curator’s Circle events and Art Tours are open to all Brookgreen Gardens members at the President’s Council level and above who have become part of Brookgreen‘s exciting new Curator’s Circle. This group participates in exclusive opportunities with Brookgreen’s curator and guest artists and directly supports Brookgreen‘s mission to preserve, collect, and exhibit American figurative art.
  • Special Project Gifts
    Your gift can support a range of special initiatives and programs at Brookgreen Gardens. Among these are art and historical exhibition and collections support, educational programs for various age groups, the Lowcountry Zoo, and capital projects. Please contact us to discuss these gifts, many of which are also naming opportunities.
  • The Legacy Council
    The Legacy Council recognizes donors who have made exceptional commitments to the future of Brookgreen Gardens by including the organization in their estate plans. Your legacy gift will work to keep the gardens flourishing in your name beyond your lifetime; this gift may also provide current tax and income benefits. When you notify Brookgreen of your planned gift intention, you become eligible for membership in The Legacy Council. You will receive invitations to special events, and, for those who grant permission, recognition in Brookgreen Gardens’ Annual Report and on The Wall of Honor.
  • Support Brookgreen through your Donor-Advided Funf (DAF)
    When you make a Donor-Advised Fund gift, it is possible that the sponsoring organization will not share your information with us. Please send us a note to let us know that you have recommended a gift so that we can make sure to thank you and ensure that your gift goes to support the purpose you have intended.
  • Matching Gifts
    It may be possible to multiply your gift! Your personal gift – even from your Donor-Advised Fund – to Brookgreen Gardens may be eligible for a matching gift from your employer.
  • Adopt An Animal or Sculpture 
    A favorite way to honor someone special while providing support Brookgreen Gardens is adopting your favorite zoo animal or work of sculpture. Gift levels range from $150 – $1,000 per year, and Brookgreen will send a special package including certificate of adoption, photo of chosen animal or work of art, fact sheet, and complimentary passes to visit the adoptee. Adoptions are wonderful gifts for birthdays, holidays, and other special occasions.

Corporate Partnerships:

Brookgreen Gardens’ Corporate Partner Program offers companies an excellent way to support our region’s leading cultural resource and destination. Corporate Partners receive a host of valuable benefits for their customers and employees, including complimentary memberships, gardens passes, and tickets to Brookgreen’s acclaimed holiday light festival, Nights of a Thousand Candles; facility rental discounts for corporate events, such as client receptions, meetings, and employee picnics; and invitations to annual Corporate Partner events, exhibition previews, and Friends of Brookgreen Gardens events. At the Corporate Supporter level ($2,500) and above, companies also receive extensive marketing exposure as sponsors of one of Brookgreen’s signature annual public events, sculpture exhibits, or educational programs. Six partnership levels are offered: * Associate * Contributor  * Supporter * Patron * Benefactor, and * Leader.

Volunteer: Volunteers serve in all areas of the gardens in over 50 different volunteer opportunities If you appreciate nationally acclaimed sculpture, beautiful gardens, wildlife, or rich local history, you will enjoy volunteering at Brookgreen Gardens. Here you will find meaningful, satisfying opportunities supporting Brookgreen Gardens, a National Historical Landmark. Brookgreen‘s volunteer program is essential to its operation and continued success. Over 450 volunteers contribute their time and talents and play a very important role in making Brookgreen a unique experience not to be forgotten. Flexible volunteer schedules are available. All volunteers must be at least 18 years of age.
