Honolulu Museum of Art Café + Coffee Bar

The HoMA Café has served up casual, contemporary cuisine and refreshments along with a signature island-style hospitality, perfectly complementing the museum experience. The open-air Café is a designated ocean-friendly restaurant, committed to operating as sustainably as possible.The Coffee Bar is located outdoors in the museum’s Palm Courtyard, with a selection of coffee and tea drinks, beer and wines, and grab-and-go menu items such as sandwiches and pastries. There is no museum admission charge to visit the Café during lunch and brunch service. HoMA Café Picnic Baskets: The Café offers picnic baskets to enjoy outdoors in the museum’s Central Courtyard. Pick up a complimentary lauhala mat for a picnic on the grass.

The Honolulu Museum of Art is committed to presenting great works of art, offering education programs that change lives, and making the museum accessible to all people.There are various ways you can help support the museum’s mission to be a gathering place where art, history, culture, education converge and connects communities:

  • Specified amounts are designated or you may customize your gifts. Memorial and Tribute gifts are welcomed.
  • Planned Giving: Create your Legacy. Many mindful friends and members have chosen to support the Honolulu Museum of Art with gifts for the future. By naming the Honolulu Museum of Art in your estate plan, you can plan for the future while helping to preserve and develop the museum for the next generations—and become a member of the Anna Rice Cooke Society.
  • Preserve the Collection: Contribute to the conservation of more than 50,000 artworks in the museum’s collection. Conservation is an essential part of caring for artworks in HoMA’s world-class permanent collection. The highly-specialized process includes cleaning and restoring individual works to maintain their condition and protect precious objects.
  • Corporate Sponsorships: The Honolulu Museum of Art offers many opportunities for companies and foundations to engage with HoMA, ranging from Corporate Membership for company-wide admission and entertaining, to programmatic sponsorships and partnerships for brand exposure, custom content, and memorable activations. We invite you to explore the various avenues for deepening your company or foundation’s relationship with HoMA and providing vital philanthropic support for our programs. Corporate donations provide critical support to all aspects of the Museum’s mission, helping us sustain exhibitions, education programs, and conservation efforts.
  • Honolulu Museum of Art Corporate Council: The Honolulu Museum of Art wants to thank our Corporate Council for their generosity and commitment. These corporate partners support the museum’s mission and make it possible for the museum to showcase world-class exhibitions and artists, offer innovative arts education programs and ensure that the museum is accessible to everyone.
  • Donation of Art: Donations of art are crucial to the museum’s foundation and future. The museum is always interested in adding new objects to its collection. The first step is to mail or email color photographs of the art objects accompanied by detailed descriptions of the objects and how they were obtained. It is also helpful to include a brief statement regarding why you would like the Honolulu Museum of Art to consider them for acquisition to the museum.

Volunteer: We welcome friendly, dedicated, reliable, and energetic people who share our vision of connecting to the community through art. HoMA’s volunteers are museum advocates, ambassadors, and educators—invaluable to our team and ‘ohana. They are an essential part of museum operations, generously giving more than 17,000 hours of their time annually.
