Members of the Oregon Rail Heritage Center support keeping the rich railroading history of the Pacific Northwest alive and accessible – now and for future generations. Membership at specified levels are offered: * Individual Friend * Family Friend * Individual Patron, and * Family Patron.
Donations:
The Oregon Rail Heritage Center relies on the generosity of friends and supporters to help fulfill our mission to restore, operate, and preserve Portland’s historic steam locomotives, and to provide educational exhibits and interpretive programs to our guests.
- Gift Matching: We have received a gift from the Murdock Trust that will make more of your donation! The Trust will match one dollar for every two you donate to the installation of the historic Brooklyn Yard turntable at ORHC. Thank you for your support.
- Oregon Cultural Trust: We are proud to be recognized by the Oregon Cultural Trust. Oregon residents that donate to ORHF and make a matching gift to the Oregon Cultural Trust may receive a credit on their Oregon tax return.

Volunteer: The Oregon Rail Heritage Center is operated almost entirely by volunteers. There are many volunteer opportunities available and we are always looking for people with an interest in public service who want to contribute time to one of the Center’s programs. Volunteers are essential to the day-to-day operation of the Engine house. From the docents to the board of directors to the train crews to the mechanical department, thousands of hours are volunteered each year. We are ALWAYS looking for more people to help us keep the Museum in good working order. As a volunteer, you will learn new skills and build long-lasting friendships.
