The Coos History Museum offers a beautiful and lively place for * holiday parties * weddings * hoe-downs * receptions * depositions * board retreats, or * club and business meetings. The exterior of the building evokes the industrial architecture of Coos Bay’s working waterfront of a century ago. The view from the plaza takes in Coos Bay from the McCullough bridge at the north, past the confluence of the bay with the Coos River, to the hills of the Coast Range. From the tall windows of any of our rental rooms, you can regularly see tugs and barges passing the museum. Seasonally the bay fills with salmon boats. And if you’re really lucky, you can see harbor seals pop up from the water or a flock of great blue herons flap aloft from the ruins of the old Central Dock. Inside, we offer modern conveniences such as WiFi, data projection, and a zoned sound system. Cost per guest is competitive with other, less interesting locations. Rooms for groups from 12 to 100 (or hundreds on our plaza) may be reserved for private events year round. Four distinctive spaces are available:
