Donations:

Your generous contribution helps the Contemporary Art Museum St. Louis present, support, and celebrate the art of our time. Help CAM continue to be a site for discovery and a gathering place in which to experience contemporary art and culture. Your gift keeps CAM open, engaging, relevant, and free to all.

  • CAM Annual Fund: CAM Annual Fund gifts go to the institution’s greatest needs, whether those be exhibitions, learning and engagement programs, operations, or other resources vital to keeping the Museum free, safe, and open to all. Gifts to CAM’s Annual Fund are fully tax deductible.
  • Pledges: Pledges enable you to plan a personal giving program that is both convenient and tax-wise. A pledge may allow you to consider a more significant gift than would have otherwise been possible. Pledges are payable over five years.
  • Sponsorship: Through sponsorship of an exhibition, special event, or the Learning and Engagement program, you support CAM in profound ways and gain visibility with influential target audiences.
  • Tributes: CAM welcomes contributions made in honor or memory of a loved one, cherished friend, or distinguished colleague. Tributes can be made in the form of membership or donation, with CAM sending a personal message to the individual being honored, or to the family of the one being memorialized, informing them of your thoughtful gift.
  • Donor Advised Funds: A donor advised fund (DAF) is a charitable giving program that allows you to combine the most favorable tax benefits with the flexibility to support your favorite causes.
  • Gifts of Appreciated Securities, Stocks, & Bonds: Securities may be made as outright gifts or as a payment on a pledge. The mean market value on the date of the transfer will determine the value of the gift for recognition purposes.
  • IRA & Qualified Charitable Distributions (QCDs): If you are 70½ years old or older, you can donate up to $100,000 from your IRA directly to CAM without having to pay income taxes on the funds.
  • Matching Gifts: Matching gifts are an easy way to double your support to the Museum at no additional cost to you. Check with your human resources department to see if your company matches charitable donations.
  • Planned Giving – The Visionary Society: Planned Giving allows for a variety of opportunities to support the mission of the Contemporary Art Museum St. Louis long into the future. These tax-deductible donations may take the form of pledges, donations of securities, tangible personal property, and real estate, as well as bequests, adding your legacy to the future of CAM. To honor the founders of the Museum and their legacy, the Board of Directors created the Visionary Society to publicly recognize and honor the individuals who have decided to include CAM in their financial plans or estate. When you join the Visionary Society you are making a commitment to ensure contemporary art and its prominence in St. Louis is fostered well into the future.
  • Gifts of Other Assets: Gifts to CAM can come in the form of other assets as well. For example, you may wish to consider gifts of tangible personal property (jewelry, art, antiques, equipment, etc.), or real estate. All gifts of tangible personal property with a substantial value must be saleable and the donor must agree the property can be sold.
  • Donated Goods or Services: In addition to cash donations, CAM gladly accepts donations of goods and services from individuals and businesses for programs and special events.
  • Contemporary Circles: Contemporary Circle members not only provide vital philanthropic support to CAM, they are part of its spirit. In recognition of their generous commitment to the art and life of the city, members enjoy unparalleled access to the Museum and the contemporary art world through private tours, exclusive artist experiences, and art-centered travel opportunities. Contemporary Circle membership levels include: * Patron Circle * Benefactor Circle * Collector Circle * Curator Circle * Director Circle * Artist Circle, and * Leadership Circle.

Volunteer: CAM is always in need of great volunteers. We have opportunities throughout the year to volunteer at events such as family days, galas, exhibition openings, and more. Volunteers have the opportunity to network, socialize, and learn about art, all while supporting CAM’s mission.
