* HARVEST RESTAURANT: Located in Water Tower Plaza. Harvest serves up lunch and dinner with fresh, locally-sourced ingredients. Table service is provided in a casual atmosphere made unique by hand-painted galleries imagining simpler times on a country estate. Thanksgiving Point Institute is a 501(c)3 tax exempt public charitable organization certified by the Better Business Bureau Wise Giving Alliance for best industry practices. We invite you to help Thanksgiving Point grow in its mission and purpose of transformative family learning. • Donations at specified amounts are designated and you may customize your gifts.
• Securities: Stocks, mutual funds, bonds, and other securities are welcome and may save capital-gains taxes. A charitable tax deduction can be taken for up to 30% of the donor’s adjusted gross income, using the fair market value of the stock on the gift date.
• Matching Gifts: Your gift can go further if you work for a company that offers a matching gift program. Contact your employer to find out if they participate and how to obtain a matching-gift form to include with your donation. Include your company name when you donate online.
• Planned Gifts: A planned gift might include a bequest in your will, creating a life-income gift, or naming Thanksgiving Point Institute as a primary or secondary beneficiary of an existing insurance policy, IRA account or retirement plan. Some of these gifts can provide income to the donor and also pass along assets to children.
• Donor Advised Funds: Donor advised fund contributions are very much appreciated. You can request the contribution to be sent to our mailing address.

Volunteer: Thank you for your interest in becoming a Thanksgiving Point Volunteer! Volunteering is a fun and rewarding way to be involved and engaged with your community. Thanksgiving Point volunteers have the opportunity to volunteer in many different areas across property. Choose one area or try them all!

• ASHTON GARDENS – Whether you are a novice gardener, a master gardener, or someone who wants to learn – come join us in the garden!
• EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS – Come support our Education Department as they offer our guests transformative learning experiences at the different venues.
• SIGNATURE EXPERIENCES– Join our Signature Experiences team as they manage activities and educational opportunities related to the many events here at Thanksgiving Point.
• VOLUNTEER ADMINISTRATIVE PROGRAMS – Share your office skills to help keep our programs up and running.
• DEVELOPMENT AND FUNDRAISING – Work closely with our Development & Fundraising Team to create partnerships and work on our annual gala and golf tournament.

Docents: Docents are trained volunteers who provide educational services for our guests. The role of a docent is three-fold:

• Serve as hosts, to provide a welcoming atmosphere. In many cases they are our venue’s “front-line” representatives.
• Serve as interpreters of the museum’s exhibitions, helping to give the visitor a deeper understanding and appreciation the venue in which they serve.
• Assist in preserving the collections by providing auxiliary security in exhibition areas.

4-H Growing Leaders: Growing Leaders is a 4-H club where teens can volunteer and learn leadership skills at Thanksgiving Point. Growing Leaders are encouraged and supported in pursuit of their individual interests and passions. Growing Leaders meet monthly as well as volunteer in the museums throughout the month. Teens may also help with events, classes, and many other opportunities.

Donations to Your Cause: Thanksgiving Point is a tax-exempt 501(c)3 charitable organization and requests donations for its mission just like you do. We cannot give cash donations, but we help when possible by donating admission passes for use in worthy causes.

Gala and Golf: Thanksgiving Point’s annual Imagine That! fundraising Gala and Discovery Cup Golf Challenge are held each August.
