Behind the DECC doors lies 250,000 square feet of meeting and exhibit spaces, beautiful ballrooms and countless meeting rooms. We have large spaces in our AMSOIL Arena and DECC Arena and smaller spaces in our Pioneer Hall and Paulucci Hall. Check out their floor plans and find the space that suits your event. • AMSOIL Arena: As the crowds grew at concerts and UMD hockey games, the city needed an arena worthy and able to fit its audiences. The DECC answered with the beautiful AMSOIL Arena. Since the doors opened in 2010, thousands have roared for the Bulldogs, been stirred by artistic performances or sung at the top of their lungs as their favorite musician took the stage. We built this stadium to evoke excitement and have everyone feel a part of the action. The design allows for even those in concessions to keep up with the game, and the seating was planned for comfort with plenty of legroom. The arena is surrounded by 15 luxurious suites and one large party suite. Recently named the best college hockey arena in the country by Stadium Journey, AMSOIL Arena lives up to fans’ expectations.
• DECC Arena: In the beginning there was only the Duluth Arena Auditorium. While the building itself has been updated since it opened in 1966, the spirit of camaraderie and community has lived on. Today, this space is called the DECC Arena and offers a perfect locale for public exposition shows, the Duluth Figure Skating Club, car shows, hockey practices and conventions.
• City Side Convention Center: Added in 1990, the DECC’s City Side Convention Center was built to handle a wide range of events including social and business events; state, national and international conventions; and everything in between. From the Lake Superior Ballroom with its views of the Duluth’s skyline to the ten meeting rooms and 15,000 square foot Edmund Fitzgerald Exhibit Hall, a more accommodating venue would be hard to find.
• Harbor Side Convention Center: Meticulously detailed and beautiful, the Harbor Side Ballroom overlooks Lake Superior, the Aerial Lift Bridge and the landmarks of Canal Park. On the lower level lies the Horizon Room, with a foyer full of equally breathtaking scenery. The Horizon Room can be divided to create three separate meeting rooms ready to host convention attendees. Two additional meeting rooms round out the lower level of the Convention Center. The Harbor Side Convention Center is a favorite location for wedding parties, conventions and meetings.
• Symphony Hall: There’s not a bad seat at Symphony Hall. Providing a specially designed hall for the best acoustics, Symphony Hall and its ALLETE stage are home to both the Duluth Superior Symphony Orchestra and Minnesota Ballet. This 2,221 seat auditorium welcomes their audiences back again and again for excellent musical experiences. Throughout the year, Symphony Hall hosts an array of arts, including concerts, Broadway plays, operas, dance recitals, high school graduations and other entertaining activities.
• Pioneer Hall: Built in 1976, this hall boasts 48,000 square feet of exhibit space. During the winter months, the hall is divided into two rooms. North Pioneer Hall is home to the Duluth Curling Club who has hosted two World Championships, the U.S. Olympic Trials and numerous national events. South Pioneer Hall is used year round for expo space, catered events, concerts and roller derby. The space is also used from November through January for soccer, lacrosse and other fitness activities by adding indoor turf to the floor. Teams and groups rent “Pioneer Park” to host their practices and games.
• Duluth Expo Hall: Built along with the original Duluth Arena Auditorium in 1966, Paulucci Hall has held countless events over the years. It continues to be host to exhibits and displays during a number of annual expos.  The venue is steps away from the fresh breeze coming off the Lake Superior harbor and views the Aerial Lift Bridge.
• Bayfront Festival Park: Bayfront Festival Park is one of Duluth’s most beautiful public parks, located on the shores of Lake Superior. Visitors to the park can view ships from around the world entering the harbor under the Aerial Lift Bridge. Bayfront Festival Park is home to a variety of events and activities throughout the year. Enjoy an exciting array of festivals featuring music, entertainment, art and food. During winter months, there is ice-skating and a holiday lighting display. Take a walk around the festival grounds, stage and past the harbor. Play on the biggest, most innovative playground in Duluth, Playfront Playground. This play area is open to children of all ages. Bayfront Festival Park’s restroom building is open daily during the summer months from 8am to 8pm. Bayfront Festival Park is a great place for people to go with friends and family to spend time together.
