Your support of The MAX helps accomplish our mission to showcase our legacy, honor our legends, and inspire the next generation of Mississippi artists. Membership

Make an entrance. When you become a member of The MAX, your visitor experience goes above and beyond standard admission. You also help showcase Mississippi’s legacy in arts and entertainment and inspire tomorrow’s artists through special programming and educational events in every area of the arts. How’s that for a claim to fame? Membership at specified levels are offered: Individual * Dual * Family * Family +1 * Patron * Patron +1 * Grand Patron * Benefactor’s Circle * Corporate Circle, and * Performer’s Circle.* MAXCares Initiative: Financial supporters of MAXCares will help provide one-year memberships to clients of partnering nonprofit organizations, including individuals facing economic, medical, or other hardships. To participate, simply donate the full amount of a membership or provide partial membership support that can be combined with other donations. A nonprofit organization will then pass the membership to someone who could benefit from the inspiration that The MAX provides. You may choose an organization from the program’s current agency list, or an organization will be designated through a rotation process. Each recipient will receive a membership with full benefits, including free admission, a 10% discount in the museum’s gift shop, and a subscription to PLACE, the quarterly publication of The MAX. Memorial and Tribute Gifts are welcomed for all memberships.

Donation

Gifts support an array of community initiatives and educational courses including ceramics, painting, dance, and acting. We cherish the opportunity to show visitors the possibility of dreams becoming reality, of lives changed by the arts. We feature a plethora of programming to engage young people and other audiences. Memorial and honorary gifts are also encouraged.

• Planned Giving: If you’ve ever wished you could do something for Mississippi’s future generations and did not think you were able, we hope that you’ll consider naming The MAX in your estate planning. Connecting people with Mississippi’s artistic heritage is at the heart of everything we do at The MAX. We know that many of you share this deep respect for the legacy of our artists and legends and all that it means in our lives. We realize that if we teach children to appreciate the arts, they will become emboldened and good stewards in the future. Your bequest helps to continue and grow this legacy for generations to come.
• Gifts of Securities: Publicly traded securities, shares of stock in closely-held companies, bonds and government issues may be given to the Mississippi Arts + Entertainment Experience.
• Gifts of Real Estate: The Mississippi Arts + Entertainment Experience may accept gifts of real estate, including homes, condominiums, commercial properties, farmland, rental properties and undeveloped land after a thorough review of several factors, including an appraisal, a marketability assessment and an environmental assessment. Gifts of this nature normally take 60-90 days to complete. If considering such a gift, please allow for the appropriate time to complete the transaction.
• Gifts of Tangible Personal Property: The MAX may accept gifts of tangible personal property that are in line with the Mississippi Arts + Entertainment Experience’s mission and collection policies, either as additions to the permanent collection or for resale to support The MAX. To accept gifts of this nature, The MAX may require donors to also make a cash gift for an endowment to underwrite the maintenanc and/or display of the property.
• Non-traditional Gifts: The Mississippi Arts + Entertainment Experience may accept gifts of non-traditional investments, such as partnership interests, after a thorough review of several factors, including the nature of applicable restrictions.

Volunteer: If you’ve ever felt inspired to give back, get involved with your community, and support the arts, volunteering at The MAX could be your perfect role. We are currently seeking adult and student volunteers over the age of 16. Volunteers work directly with the staff and volunteer coordinators at The MAX to perform vital operations. Our diverse, proactive volunteers help fulfill our vision to showcase Mississippi’s arts and entertainment legacy, honor our creative legends, and inspire tomorrow’s artists.
