Donation:
For more than six decades, CMCA has supported, sustained, and showcased the art and artists connected to Maine — bringing the community to art through innovative programming and exhibitions, and bringing art to the community through outreach and education. From community engagement and work with local kids to showcases and retrospectives, CMCA fosters artists at every stage of their career, and provides a place to see and appreciate the way Maine’s impact on contemporary art continues to unfold. As a CMCA donor, you’ll help sustain this legacy by supporting opportunities for artists and programs for public engagement. Thank you for helping CMCA continue looking forward. - By Phone / Online / By Mail: Your donation to CMCA helps support innovative exhibitions showcasing the work of Maine’s emerging and established artists; impactful educational programs for all ages; and our operational needs that keep CMCA looking forward. Donations can become a special way to honor a loved one’s memory, to celebrate a special occasion, or acknowledge a patronage.
- Contemporary Circle: The CMCA Contemporary Circle includes local and global members who appreciate and are committed to Maine’s thriving art scene. The Contemporary Circle contributes to CMCA’s outstanding art legacy by supporting exhibitions and educational programs for all ages that celebrate the art of this generation and the next. As a donor to the Contemporary Circle, you receive a complimentary Steward membership with all conferring benefits, as well as unique opportunities to engage with artists, collectors, art experts, and CMCA leadership, to attend Contemporary Circle only events, and to be invited to participate in exclusive arts-related travel and excursions.

Volunteer: One of our most valuable assets
Become a CMCA volunteer. Love art? Love people? CMCA has a volunteer opportunity for you! Our new Volunteer 20/20 program gives back the more hours you give. For every twenty hours of volunteer time you contribute, you earn $20 in CMCA rewards that can be used for credit in the CMCA Shop, towards the cost of a CMCA membership, membership upgrade, or event ticket. Volunteer 20/20 – perfect vision! Volunteers are critical to the success of CMCA, both in daily operations and the accomplishment of one-time and long-term projects. As a CMCA volunteer, you participate in the lively and engaging community of contemporary art in Maine. You help support CMCA’s exhibitions and educational programming, and our operational activities. You engage with artists, members of the public, CMCA staff and board, and fellow volunteers.
