  • Changing Exhibits Fund: Contributions to our Changing Exhibits Fund ensure we can continue to bring the most vibrant and acclaimed exhibits to Bozeman and Montana.
  • Opening Doors for Montana School Children Fund: The Opening Doors for Montana Schoolchildren Fund ensures the museum remains accessible to all K-12 public, private, tribal, and homeschool children in Montana. This important fund covers admission fees and helps alleviate field trip costs for all Montana students.
  • Planned Giving: Make a Legacy Gift to MOR. Planned giving can be as straightforward as including a bequest to MOR in your will. Other more sophisticated options, such as charitable gift annuities, offer guaranteed income and substantial tax savings. You can also take advantage of a special program called the Montana Endowed Tax Credit, which helps you save money on taxes while helping the Museum build our endowment fund, which works like a “piggy bank” to ensure the Museum’s future.
  • Stocks: A gift of stock to the Museum of the Rockies can be a wise choice. Donating an appreciated asset allows you to avoid a capital gains tax, as well as take a charitable deduction in your taxes.
  • In Honor or Memory: Make a thoughtful tribute in memory of someone special or celebrate a special occasion. Your contribution will be acknowledged with a letter informing the family or friend you designate.
  • MOR Good Eats: Treat yourself to a great time that will also do a great deal of good! Throughout the year, Museum of the Rockies showcases its partnerships with local eateries in our community through the MOR Good Eats Program. For a three or four-month commitment, a business has the exclusive opportunity to partner with MOR by donating a percentage of proceeds from the sale of a particular item(s) at their establishment. In turn, the museum promotes the businesses and their delicious item(s) to its visitors via a slide on the digital lobby display, and to its membership of more than 6,000 households and 300 businesses in the Gallatin Valley via the triannual Seasonal Snapshot print publication and the MOR Bites monthly member email.
  • Big Mike License Plate: A great way to donate to MOR is by purchasing the Museum of the Rockies T. rex license plate featuring Big Mike (MOR 555). Keep in mind, you don’t have to wait to re-register your vehicle to change plates! Museum of the Rockies inspires life-long learning in science, history, culture, and art; advances knowledge through collections, research and discovery; and presents engaging, vibrant exhibits and educational opportunities. Museum of the Rockies brings the world to Montana and shares Montana with the world.
