The support of people like you, who are passionate about quilting, allows the National Quilt Museum to provide programs that bring the work of today’s quilters to audiences around the world. By joining as a Friend of NQM, you become a part of a family of supporters that have moved our museum forward for the past three decades. Since our founding, more than 10,000 people have given goods, funds, or their time to The National Quilt Museum. Membership at these levels are offered: * Supporter * Benefactor * Donor, and * Patron.

FRIENDS, AT THE CURATOR’S CIRCLE LEVEL AND ABOVE, RECEIVE NUMEROUS ADDITIONAL BENEFITS, INCLUDING: The National Quilt Museum’s Collection Book and name recognition on the Donor Wall of The National Quilt Museum. The Membership Circles include* Curator’s Circle * Director’s Circle * President’s Circle, and * Founder’s Circle. (The President’s Circle includes a private tour with The National Quilt Museum Curator for up to four guests).

One Time Donation: Help us advance the art of quilting. A donation of any size to The National Quilt Museum helps us advance the art of quilting. Your donation will go directly toward maintaining and expanding Museum programs. Specified amounts are designated or you may customize your gifts. Memorial and Tribute gifts are welcomed.

Recurring Monthly Donations: Without your generosity, attention, and good will, the National Quilt Museum would lack both capacity and purpose. Specified amounts are designated or you may customize your gifts. Memorial and Tribute gifts are welcomed.

NQM Memorial Giving Program: The National Quilt Museum is honored to host a Memorial Program in celebration of the lives of quilters and quilt-enthusiasts around the world. Your loved ones name will appear on The National Quilt Museum’s website Memorial Program page with the option of being on The National Quilt Museum’s Wall of Memorial Giving at it’s location in Paducah, Kentucky, (Quilt City USA). Please contact the Museum to facilitate your contribution.

In-kind Donation: Thank you for your interest in donating items to The National Quilt Museum. All donated items are either used in our education department or sold to generate funding for our exhibitions and programs.

We currently accept the following items only: 

USED ITEMS

  • Useable, clean, fabric in good condition in fat quarter size or larger – no scraps
  • Quilts in good to excellent condition – clean, no odors or stains
  • Quilt tops that are ready to be made into a quilt
  • Quilt blocks: new, modern, vintage, or antique that are useable to make a quilt

NEW ITEMS

  • Fabric rolls and precut packs

We do not accept the following items:

  • Sewing machines
  • Quilt frames
  • Books or magazines
  • Patterns
  • Yarn
  • Embroidery floss

  • Damaged, dirty, or fragile quilts and/or quilt tops

Donate to the Auction: Donate quilts or extra quilting materials for our fundraising auctions.
